I'm a PS2 owner, but I'm very desapointed with the lack of good racing games for PS2 in North America ( except the Gt serie of course ).
I might even switch if Enthusia is available for XBOX in Canada.
Does anyone on that forum know about that ? I checked Konami website but they don't mention an XBOX nor a PC release date for that simulation.

A potential turncoat :)

There are good PS2 racers. They're just on the XBOX as well. But for being exclusive, we thought San Andreas was going to be exclusive, but Microsoft had to be little whiney arseholes and ask for it and Half-Life 2 which they believe will look better on their console.

Your a real X-Box hater, you know that. Why s Microsoft a whiney arsehole for wanting one of the greates games ever made on their console. Honestley, do you think if it came out on the X-Box first Sony wouldn't want it and do their best to get it. Besides Microsoft don't have to ask to get GTA on X-Box, all it is, is Sony signed an agreement with Rock* to make any GTA game come out on PS2 and no other console would get it for something like a year later thats all, no GTA game is completely exclusive to the PS2 and never will be.

Go get a brain.

FYI, I'm not a Xbox-hater. I hate them saying they can improve H-L2 visuals over any other computer.

Just Ford says they have the #1 selling Sports car in America. No ****.
Its a lot cheaper than Chevrolet's and Dodge's.

I love my Xbox. I just don't see why almost every PS2 game needs to be on the Xbox. Alot of exclusives are heading over to it.

At least Final Fantasy hasn't touched it...yet.

Games that appear on the PS2 and X-Box appear on both consoles because they are not console exclusive. So who's to say Soul Caliber is a PS2 game that went onto X-Box, because it isn't both versions were developed at the same time, the same goes for the majority of multi platform games. Using the logic that every game that appears on the PS2 is a PS2 game andif it appears on the X-Box it's wrong, is very flawed logic. None of these games are PS2 only, why not say, why do so many X-Box games have to appear on the PS2.

Fair enough if you like the X-Box, sorry for calling you a hater, but I do find you reasoning quite odd, no offense.

There something about Microsoft I don't like. They sort of ruined CS by putting it on the Xbox. Don't get me wrong, I love playing on LIVE, but other than that...its pointless. There's not even a multiplayer for when not on Live. Now that's somewhat silly.

So thats your reason? Seems pretty lame to me.

IMO I prefer owning multiformat games on my xbox, usually better, look at mercenaries for example.

you can't ruin CS by porting over to xbox. CS was ruined long ago by the crazy jerks populating it's umpteen servers.

and, for future reference, GTA: VC and GTA 3 were much better games on the xbox than their PS2 counterparts. THe pop-up, shimmering, and generally ugly graphics got swept under the carpet, as well as the terrible load times. And they added real-time reflections for the kicker (because real-time reflections make for better games, of course! :dopey: ) If anything, Rockstar was glad to port them over, because they got a lot of additional sales. The sony exclusivity deal is just business; sony pays them $ to release the game on PS2 first, so the game becomes associated with PS2.

It's obvious that they can't make doom 3 or half life 2 look nicer, or even comparable to their PC brethren. Just because some clueless PR jackass says something, doesn't mean it's true, or widely supported by microsoft.

I said I enjoyed playing it on LIVE, but other than that, there's absolutely no point to it. Unless you just enjoy spending 6 hours by yourself playing BOTS.

can you play split screen in the PC version? no.

did the original even HAVE bots? no.

Is counter-strike even worth talking about these days? no.

Well the WHOLE point of the game was the online play...everyone knows that anyway. What's your point?

Well, I mean the Xbox version could have had at least a 2-player option.

That's the PC.
No, it didn't but CS:CZ does, and so does Source.
And no matter what anyone does, CS is still going to be a big game in the online world.

in the grand scheme of things, cs for xbox was not an ambitious game..

the original was a free mod. the new one is the same damn thing with improved graphics and physics.

team fortress is more exciting, always was, or better yet, Half Life DM with the gravity gun.

anyway, what the hell does counterstrike have to do with enthusia?

Yes, GT3 could have done much better. Since GT3 was on a completely new system, KY didn't seem to go all-out on it.

That's why many people are hoping GT5 is not another GT3. :scared:

What do you mean the world has gone mad, I have to dissagree you and you Black95Z28 what the hell do you mean we just fight you little........

Anyway about gta series sony signed an agreement with R* so that they couldnt produce games freely until 2005, then things looks like they were a little strapped for cash so they let R* produce VC and GTA:3 for xbox and now their agreement is over so R* is proabbaly developing San Andreas by now, and the only reason FF hasnt been improved and sent to xbox is because sony bought just enough of Squaresoft so that when they voted for the FF release on xbox the answer would be no, so its not just MSoft that has corruptish business practices Sony has some ish up their sleeves too.

btw im in no way biased seeing as i own both consoles but generally xbox games that also get released on ps2 and vice versa are usually better on XBOX.

isn't the VP of square enix the head of xbox japan?

Its true that there arent alot of good racing games on the PS2. I mean GT3 is good (not long until I know about GT4 ;] ) and others that also appear on XBox. I just hope that most of the good games coming out DO come to the XBox because my PS2 has been a real POS since I first got it and the XBox is still running just like it was when we first got it.

Rallisport Challenge 2 is currently my favorite racer on the XBox. 👍

rallisport 2 is awesome. 👍

I think it sets the standard for graphics among console racing games. That includes GT4.

Judging from your sig, I can see why you liked it. ;)

It features SEVERAL Saabs (gasp!), and considering that GT4 has none... and only 2 volvos. I guess Swedish cars aren't high on many people's priority lists.

when the site first opened it was in yucky Japanese to english translation and on the product page it said under release date N/A , and platforms PS2 and PC

hmm..

Back to the subject.
Well, I'd rather have Enthusia with crappy Ps2 graphics and DFP than the x-box version with more polished look but with crappy xbox pad.
However, the promised x-box wheels just might do the trick...

stupid wheel. when are they gonna release any legible information about it?

That wheel doent even have confirmed force feedback, it might only have a few fancy and overdone vibration effects. I read somewhere that it wasnt possible to implement FF in a xbox game because of some firmware or hardware problems, does sound a bit iffy though.

I hope Forza will get a good FF wheel
