Hahaha, I remember this video. Surprised to see it out here on GTP.

Allow me to exercise my powers of nerddom by telling you this video is a medley of anime and video game tunes (as Azuremen hinted at) that did the rounds of the Japanese (and Japanese-culture-related) message boards a few weeks ago. The song was originally just the melody you heard in the background, but later lyrics, videos, and now Mario levels were added to it.

I won't name all the songs but there's one or two songs from Mega Man and the Mario series in there, and if you watch anime like Lucky Star or Haruhi you'll be pleasantly suprised as well.

I wonder how hard it was to compose something like this though (especially with some of the visual effects that pop up from song to song). Must be a lot of trial and error and error and error...
