Error message on 2.09 Update

Hi. I am fairly new to this forum. however, l have been searching for any clues as to why l keep getting an error message when trying to download the 2.09 update. have been thinking as to whether it has been my internet connection (thus l went to a cafe close by and connected using the ethernet, still got the same error). Now l drear to think there could be something wrong with my console. How else can l get around this problem.
 
You might get a bit more help if you specified what error you are seeing. If for example it's error code 80710736 then that is a server time out message. Could be many things causing that problem including issues with your ISP.

The most common cure to download problems are to ensure that you have a wired connection to your router/modem (don't use WiFi) and try to do the download at a different time of day. It may be that the server is just busy.
 
Thanks a lot, will try at a different time. The first time l had issues was in the evening (though l had presumed there would be less traffic, then l used the hard line to the same fruitless ending). Will give it another try later tonight and update you.
