error message when loading gt5

i hope this is the correct place to post this question. i am suffering a recurring problem in that when i load gt5 i get an error message 80010514. According to the PS3 site this means 'unable to read disc'. however this occurs even though the disc is clean - i have even replaced the disc with a brand new one and i still get the error message. I do not get this problem with any other games disc or bluray disc.
Can anyone tell me what the problem may be ?

Your Blu Ray Lens to be exact. Looks like it's time to replace it.

When mine went, some other games still worked but GT5 wouldn't work. This was when GT5 first released, I was pissed. I swapped the Blu Ray Lens, never had a problem with it, loading or anything, since. It's been almost 2 years now.

I find that people with issues, are still using the crap stock lens. I'd recommend, to anyone, to change your lens to something aftermarket.

Anytime. I bet you could ask best buy or gamestop what the problem is to be sure. Is it just gt5?

Worst advice :lol: no offense. Gamestop doesn't know what they're talking about, they're just sales people who know about games. They have no technical background, all they'll do, is try selling you a used one.
