Hi Guys the Escudo is a beast on the rally but somewhat difficult on tarmac.

Super speedway etc.......are fine but on the twisty corners the escudo is far from agile.

I spent much time investigating and have finally cracked the handling.

Firstly be very gentle. Follow your racing line as normal. As you come into a corner slow right down to near stopping point.
Now the Key Part:

Lightly touch the Dual Shock 2 'pressure sensitive' X. This allows you to accelerate around the corner. Lowering yet maintaining the power delivery to all four wheels increases grip when taking a corner. Once on the Exit and your safe coming out of the bend give X Maximum pressure.

Sorted........ :D Just alittle patience and a niftry new pressure sensitive X button (Dual Shock 2 only) and your driving that escudo on the road in 1st place on twisty tracks. Lovely Jubbly.

Please try it out and give feedback on the technique.

Cheers

the best trick i can give regarding the Escudo is to leave it at the Suzuki dealer, and sell it if you ever win one... The game is much more enjoyable if you don't use it...

That thing is a real b*tch in normal races, but very useful in those awefull test course races. Modd it all up to 1832hp, and race that track with 450km/h

Guaranteed victory:D

Pojam.

same thing as the Scudo... they could have used that space to include something worth driving, both in GT2 and GT3... though the Cultus isn't in GT3,

Well, I used to be a die-hard Escudo fan, and in fact, I was able to tame it and actually use it for most of my tarmac races. However, it does take the fun out of driving... Basically, for tarmac driving, all you do is accelerate hard on straights, brake almost to a standstill on corners, and you win. No fun at all, so I sold mine.

However, on the note of what you say, lightly pressing the X button does work well. ;)

if i enter the super speedway endurance with the escudo, and just press the gas and let it follow the wall, will it be fast enough to win?

Hi Andy the Escudo is well the best car for Super Speedway, it's the Easiest yet most boring endurance race there is.

Remember to fully tune it up though,

i just think the escudo was meant for top speed and thats it, no one should even try to make this beast turn.

I know how to 'handle' the escudo. Its very simple, just bounce of the walls to get around the corner. Sometimes is helps increase speed when done right. Then you can open the throttle and burn down to the next corner.
Granted this is a crap way to race but its good for long endurance races where I can't be bothered to race perfectly otherwise my ass will be squarer than the Xbox and probally get Deep Vain Thrombosis.

😈

Yeah that car is like the freakin space shuttle, just raw power. I wish pikes peak was still in the game I dont get it why not have the track but have the car, or like someone else said they might have put in another car instead.
