European version of GT5P...

ok, so the US version will have over 60 cars and possibly a new track. Those are pretty much the facts right? seeing as how the US are getting their game later than Europe (which is already fishy) I fear that the European version will not include these changes...Does anyone here have any information whether we will also get the 60+ cars and new track added to our prologue????
 
nope, in the recent interview the guy said that for prologue there are probably no downloads...so I dont think so
 
@gt4genius..jep it is updated frequently and i have high hopes and confidence the japaneese version will be updated....think about it,the people in japan will get a less big version of gt5p than the rest of the world?????......think not...hope not.........lol.
 
all 3 version contents must be same. because of online gaming.
But I guess EU and JPN versions will get the update after US release.

If you're referring to the Takau Imasaki interview, he only states that there will not be any downloads that you must pay for. There will certainly be free downloads and updates available throughout the lifespan of the game.
 
I'm also worrying about this, why on earth would the japenese leave themselves and us behind? Surely there is no reason to do this and the Prologue in America doesn't have any price difference with all that extra stuff, so if they are going to release an update, it better be free.

I am pretty sure GT5P online will just connect you to only local versions (EU version races against on EU versions, although I don't know what they will do wit world ranking)

The only ever content update so far was christmas day where online was added, but that was announced early. So far PD has not officially said a word on updating JPN GT5P with extra cars etc but everyone is just assuming.

PD keeps the mouth closed. they dont even give some clue about extra cars and tracks. but I think SONY & PD wont leave unfinished their citizens
 
What will the price be for the game? I was thinking of getting the downloadable version, and wanted to know how much credit to put into the wallet. Will it be safe downloading it, say there is a glitch with my modem and it stops half way through will I lose the money?
 
A direct currency conversion came out at

4,500 JPY = 21.5306 GBP

But Warhawk was only £19.99 DL.

As for your modem gliching. I think you should be ok. I've turned my PS3 off during a DL
but it continued when i rebooted. Plus it should go into your DL list in the store. This allows you to redownload your games again. Obviously only to the matching PSN acccount.
I've done it twice with Tekken 5 .

So as long as you complete the actual payment part of the process you should be fine

I'm thinking about do that too mate, but... I've some doubts then for the online mode. I really don't know if it'll work as region-strictly as you said or if it will leave us connect to the rest of the world, but if we get the US version and we're playing since a EU internet adress.... I'm wondering if it'll works or it'll not (at least the online mode, because I've heard that for the rest, Playstation 3 doesn't have region problems about playing NTSC-USA on EU units).

Japanese version connects with the rest of the world... so... who knows if it'll continue like that, or they could change it...
