Has anyone done the roadster endurance in an MX-5 1.8i, and wondered why the only potential rivals (the other 1.8i s) have to pit every 3-4 laps?
I put on medium racing tyres and only pit every 10-11 laps. Result, I win by 1 clear lap and more (and last time I did it, lapped the last one twice).
How much harder would the race be if the 1.8i s were on the same strategy.
It seems quite daft.
