Event B-8: Time trial Nissan GTR '07 Gold (Pro setting, no assists)

Alright can anyone please tell me if they managed to get the gold time (1'12.000) in this event on Pro setting, with all the assists turned off?

I've managed to get gold in every other B and C event so far on those settings, but this seems impossible. I've checked the online leaderboard for High Speed Ring with the GTR on the Pro setting, and the record time is 1'12.3xx. So there's no one in the world who got the target time on Pro in a time trial! Surely that can't be right?

If anyone did it, please tell me so I at least know it's possible. Oh and don't bother if it wasn't a reasonably clean lap (I mean no wall riding or intentionally using another car to slow down). Is it only possible on standard physics?
 
You're forgetting the TT is limited to S2 tires. This event uses R1 tires.

I haven't tried it on pro but it's really easy to gold in std.

Yeah and I realize I also ignored any added effect of draft in the mission. I did a clean lap without drafting on Standard to get the gold time with .7 seconds to spare, so I guess it isn't as impossible as I first thought. For some reason the GTR really likes to slide through the turns, and it drastically improved my time. I always thought squealing tyres = slower lap time.

I find that with AWD/FWD cars and alot of power that fast laps involve lots of squealing.
 
yeah but 4 wheel drive cars are not so good at lower speeds.

How so? Lower speeds = less understeer.

A bit of squealing is fine, especially in the GT-R (it bludgeons physics to death instead of complying)
 
because when you watch any drag race, the 4 wheel drive car is always slowest to start off but then later it overtakes. i meant that its acceleration is slow at lower speeds.
 
4WD cars suffer more drivetrain loss. The GTR laughs at drivetrain loss.

It really depends. Off the line the AWD/4WD has to deal with extra parasitic loss, but has the benefit of extra traction.

Most AWD/4WD vs RWD/FWD drag races that i've seen (admittedly not too many) show the AWD/4WD launching better from the line, giving it an advantage until the last 50 metres or so.
