Event vs online setup

Hi guys,

Should i use a different setup for a quick lap on Fuji, when driving online ( fast lap attempt ) instead of a normal event?
I noticed that my laptime isn't close to what i can do driving a normal event ( S-7 )
Is it me, or am i missing something here?

Any advice is welcome!

p.s. My 7 year old son is winning :ouch:
 
I don't know the S-7 event specifically, but if you are racing a time trial, you are limited to s2 tyres for a start, and this could make a huge difference if S-7 uses R tyres for example.
 
In addition to being limited to S2 tires for time trials, I think your car is also in stock condition, whereas in an S event you could be using quick tune for more power, less weight, etc.
