You ever have one of those ideas, that as soon as you see it, it makes perfect sense, it'd be a mad money maker and you can't figure out why noones come up with it yet?
I'm surfing through IMDB.com yesterday, and they've recently changed it a bit. Where there used to be names of the people in the movie, now there is a microthumbnail (microTnail?) and it links to the star.
That makes sense.
Then it dawns on me. Why hasn't amazon.com bought a partnership with IMDB.com? Link the movie info page to a sales cart, and they'd be able to sell the movies that people were looking at.
I recently rewatched Blade 2, and noticed a few characters that I'd seen in other movies. Kevin Bacon'd IMDB through a few movies and came across sequels to movies I enjoyed, but then had to skip around through amazon to see if they were available.
Now why didn't they (amazon, imdb) see this connection before?
