What are some cars you see everyday that would/could be great to have in the more realistic simulators for the first time or more often? Reasons could be you've had first hand experience with them, heard good things, or you just like how they look.

1996-2000 Chrysler Town & Country / Dodge Caravan / Plymouth Voyager

Two relatives of mine own these. They probably are the most popular minivan in the US ever. To me. I think it looks pretty cool. TBH, I don't think nothing is more 1990's than this! Especially because it's a minivan. The Chrysler variant as shown in the top image I think looks the best because you have neat chrome trim rather than unpainted plastic that's found on the Plymouth and Dodge.
The performance is OK I guess. Available with a 3.8L V6. The van was able to put out 166 HP and had a 0-60 time of 10.7 seconds.
Seeing this in a racing sim would be pretty hilarious. It would be fun for some one make races.

Well this thread didn't take off :/

lol that certainly would make for some interesting races. Though I imagine the understeer that they would inevitably have would get pretty tedious after awhile. If PD were in charge, maybe they could make a touring or cup car out of it so it would be more bearable to drive, kind of like those Honda Odyssey's made track cars irl.

For me, I think those super cheap 1990's/early 2000's Japanese economy cars would be great to chuck around. Like the Nissan Altima, Maxima, Sentra, Honda Accord, Mazda Protegé, Toyota Camry, Corolla and other cars of that nature. They can be in a little class of their own, boucing around corners with their super soft suspension.

The '89 Carina in GT6 has a very floaty feel and I actually enjoyed driving that quite a bit in the game.
Probable a very close example to the cars you listed above.

This car is possibly the closest thing you get to a toyota camry in gt6

Edit: toyota mark 2 which was in gt2? Was a japanese toyota cressida

Would be nice if they returned it back to the series because of that FR layout and the 1jz engine

I didn't even know that car was in GT6. I only discovered the Carina ED very recently and already want one. Basically a Celica sedan.

The Dodge Neon, preferably the first gen and in ACR trim. It's an excellent amateur race car out of the box and could provide some interesting spec racing in sims.
Gran Turismo 2 is the game for you:

1989-2001 Geo / Chevrolet Metro
This piece of General Motors history deserves to be in sim racers. 46 MPG and available with either 55 or 79 horsepower, makes the Metro a great candidate for Gran Turismo or Forza.
