Evo MR 1\4 mile is not too fast!!!

hey guys, i have an EVO 8 MR and i have stage 3 turbo (i duno why i cant get a stage 4 turbo)

maybe u guys can tell me how to set my gear ratios good enough for it to run at least 9 if lower thats gonna be much help

my current settings are
Gear ratios:
1st gear - 2.610
2nd gear - 1.802
3rd gear - 1.335
4th gear - 1.035
5th gear - 0.841
6th gear - 0.715
Final - 3.730
Auto - 10

what can i do to make it faster.
what else i can do like downforce, or weight balancing.
ANYTHING will help
is there a way to make the car 700 HP?
my car at the moment wit all parts runs 10.5-10.8 quarter mile at 578HP
also is there a way to make this car 7 gears?
please help me because i wanna challage my friend for his car!

Try setting your gear ratios like this:
1. As low as it can go.
2. Slightly higher than the lowest setting.(around .100 higher)
3. .200 higher than lowest setting
4. .300 higher than lowest
5. so on
6 so on.
Final gear. Just set it accordingly to the finish line.
 
Not at all , I believe you should be in the rpms where your motor makes the MOST power . Best time when to shift.

Sad thing is, the darn graph is so hard to read!
 
The Subaru Sti is really fast with NOS at the 1000m time. It takes out a fully modded Viper. Wthout the NOS, it sucking wind at high speeds. It seems like the MR loses steam after 140mph also.
BTW, you can enlarge the graph by clicking on it.
 
my friend is runing an STi but im pretty sure i can beat him ..he runs pretty mch like me..10's i wanna get my evo to ATLEAST low 9's if possible low 8's!

I got 8.616 sec with my Impreza spec C, 500 hp + NOS.

Do you use NOS and how is your TCS set?

thought about buying nos but dont know how to use it , can see a red line and when i press r1 to use it nothing happens IDEAS any1

thanks alot[/QUOTE >>What car does your friend have?<< and also throw that damn evo away they suck if you want a fast car that your friend wont beat buy the '04 Subaru Impreza Sedan wrx sti spec(c) it can be tuned to be a 7 second car so if you want the setup to the subaru just email me at paxtoncircle@webtv.net if you cant afford the Wrx try buying the super soft race tires if you dant already have them that will help your time and buy all the racing parts for your tranny and get some nos if you dont have it and if you do go to the settings and turn you nitrus all the way up and make sure your racing tire equiped so there you go

you will be unbeatable if you get the Wrx '04 subaru spec(c) =)? (=

03' EVO 8 GSR is the fastest. My GSR with everything runs 8.782 at 166mph.

Im sorry to say that you have a very slow time and shouldnt be saying its the fastest Hopefully you Keep practicing so you can get a PRO's time like "MINE">>>>>('0.07.689. Secods)keep trying.
You know whats funny thats not my fastest time so I left you some what of an easy time for you to try and beat.

What is your speed and rpm at the 1/4 mile mark?
Is your boost always on full boost even at redline?
Torque split setting to rear max?
Spring rate and damper settings?
Aero setting to Minimum?
TCS to 1?

i have been able to get the evo mr to 8.6's thats the best i can do with that car, i just set the first to gears as far apart as possible, 3456 as close together as possible and got a VCD controller set to 90% rear wheels, and set ballast weight to 100 and put all the weight on the rear, dont use nitrous till you shift out of first
 
i got my viper gts to go 8.568sec at the las vegas drag. i just changed one thing at a time and see if it improves the time. try changing everything, i think before i changed the settings it went just a little under 10 sec.
