Im starting to hate the Evo IX time trial (B-5) I dont see how it is possible to get under a 1:14:000 to get gold the top ive managed i think 1:14:9??, and I just watched 2 youtube videos with the japanese release tho and their gold time stands at 1:15:000 why has it been changed on a event which was already hard.
Any tips?

Yeah, it used to be 1:15 and that to me was impossible. The best I ever did was 1:17 Maybe it's easier now.

Just download their ghost and race against it. But I think it's one of those nearly impossible events.

The videos on youtube will be from Spec I. Japan Spec II update is the same as yours with the time being 1'14.000. Are you on pro settings? Try doing it on standard to get gold.

This is from my Japan Spec II.

lol that event is a nightmare.......ive managed 1:14.5 but that was auto gears.
im going to have to do it the hard way now and use manual gears....i suppose it makes it more fun but ive been a bit lazy where i could.

This is on standard and it is hard I have tried with my DFP and the controler and I cannot manage the 1:14:000 why the hell was teh time made even harder?
I think it should be changed back to 1:15:000 in next update because I doubt every person can do this event if my 1:14:95 was ranked in teh rankings I would be 29th aprx on standard physics 29th in the world and still not good enough!!!!?? this is what im talking about.

Chronos what did you have to do that 1:13.8?
by that I mean like what things did you have off and on did you use Manual or auto?
etc for all the settings I see you have used a driving line.
And did you use a wheel or a controler?

I managed this event the first time I tried it using the g25 (1.13.8xx). Doing the same race at a mates house though I couldn't beat a 1.14.080 using the ds3

must be done in standard mode. Had all settings off apart from abs set to 1.

I used the controller with manual and everything turned off. I actually had the racing line switched on just to see something on a different track a few days ago and haven't turned it off yet. I have just turned the race line off and watched the same replays and it is now gone, so you can toggle it on or off in saved replays.

I was going to do a video, but Mr P (congrats on getting all your golds Mr P:)👍) has added his video to a similar thread which you might of seen, maybe it will help. Where do you think you are loosing time going off the video and can you download a top 10 time and load it in as a ghost, I've not looked myself in the timetrial section yet to match B-3, but driving against a ghost would be best imo.

Try and stick with it because it's certainly possible and you might just be overlooking something. You can afford to brake really late in the evo in this trial and the two sub 1'13.8xx I did we're done quite differently after going over the wooden bridge, so you can either brake hard and perhaps slide a little driving aggressively or take it smoother and drive through the main corners by braking and accelerating progressively.

YESSSSS!!! ive done it :):) 1:13:965 I think but after hard work and pushing harder and harder over and over again it took me a week :) exactly today since i gave the event a try.
I did it no aids manual, standard physics with a driving force pro.
But I still think unless you are already good at GT or you are willing to spend hours and days trying this annoying event i doubt you will get gold.

yay, got gold using standard physics. It feels like cheating a bit, but there is no way you can get gold on pro physics.

I had to do 2 sessions, but the first session was mainly to get used to the standard physics.
I was constantly braking to early and not hard enough.
