Alright guys I posted in my cockpit post here:https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=147538 how I was planning on using a custom shifter holder for my Fanatec Shifter to mount to my playseat. StevenKing70 on these forums has started a new site to address the needs of Playseat users that have Fanatec wheels!

Check it out:http://www.x-cpo.com/index.htm

I'm very excited to get my shifter mount that he is making and very pumped to see what he comes up with for the reverse ClubSport pedal mount as well!

I heard the new clubsport shifter that's coming will require an adapter to use with the current shifter mount, I hope it's included. If not you may have to buy another adapter on top of this when it comes out.

Why not post your concerns directly on the PlaySeat FaceBook page, rather than some website?

Nice! I'm interested in the pricing for this kit as well. I'd like to adapt this shifter mount product to mount to the side of my seat base

Whats the difference in the playseat mount vs the obutto mount on the rigs? Or more like my question is would this work with the obutto?

Answered below.

What's wrong with the shifter adapter that playseat and fanatec makes? My fanatec shifter is mounted fine on my playseat by using the playseat adapter and the fanatec adapter. It's also easy to swap out between the sequintial and H pattern. Just slide the shifter right off of the fanatec posts, and you have the shifters swapped out. it costs about 45$ to get them both, and they work great together.

this one places the shifter higher at least. the playseat+fanatec is pretty much making it the same height. if you mean putting the renn stand adapter connected to the playseat g27. this is better because it sits higher...playseat shift adapter is way low. another big minus for playseat.

What adapter are you talking about. Do you have a link?

Here is the playseat adapter. http://video-game-central.com/g25-gearshiftholder-playseat.html
Fanatec for some reason doesn't have a picture of their adapter you need to mount the shifter to the playseat. Here's a link though of a beta review I did of the turbo s wheel. It has a close up picture of the shifter mounted, and another picture of everything that comes with the fanatec adapter. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=121039

I guess it does mount kind of low, but it has never bothered. I guess I didn't have anything else to compare it to, so I thought it was fine from the start.

It looks like my prices were off also. I don't remember paying 40$ for the playseat one. I thought it was 25$. I also remember though that I got my playseat for around 225$ shipped from amazon. It looks like everything has really got a price jump from GT5.

Since that review, I have changed how I mounted the shifter and got it a little closer to the seat.

Thanks Bevo, yeah I have to say I like StevinKing70's design better. He is charging me €25 which is $33 shipped to my house from Germany and I really like the placement that his has. BTW you still need the G25/27 shifter mount for the new adapter as well.

I'll get some pics on my rig once in and my Fanatec shifters get here.

I didn't mean to say that the product looked bad. It just sounded like you didn't know there has always been products to mount the fanatec shifter to the playseat.
His does look nice though. It seems to lift the shifter up a little. The only bad thing is that it looks like more work to switch out the shifter, but I rarely do that anyways. I use to do it alot for dirt 2, so that I could use the sequential shifter for the e brake, but it's been awhile since I played that game.
Good or bad, it's nice to have more options when putting a rig together.

yeah....thats even lower than a g27 shifter would be. i like the one in first post better. and it will be compatible with a clubsport shifter because fanatec will have to have that type of mount + having hard mount holes on the bottom... i guess for rennsport stand users or any chopstick users they have to make the clubsport shifter compatible with this no matter what.

Really the way he has it designed you just unscrew two screws. I'm on my phone so I can't post a photo but if you pull up the full product you can see one side is just held on by the two bolts.

I'm also very excited to see what he comes up with for an inverted pedal mounting plate for the CSPs.

it would be cool of you could get 2 g27 shifter adapters and somehow mount both the shifters on the same side. this adapter would put it up that much higher. you could then mount the sequential lower and use as an ebrake using the fanatec adapter. but that wouldnt work on GT5 or any PS3 game game would it? either way it would be easier just to switch the cables.

I would love to see that. That's really the only thing I would like to add to my setup and can't. Well, and maybe the new fanatec shifter when it gets released.

I was trying to find him the other day to order one....it basically was gonna make my decision between the play set and sim seat....awesome post

I just received my shifter mount. Unfortunately I'm still waiting for my shifter set from Fanatec which hopefully will come soon for some real testing. But I must say the build quality is top notch. The mount bolts into the Playseat G25/27 shifter plate perfectly and looks like it was made by Playseat. I can already tell that the shifter will be in a perfect position when I do receive it.

Shipping from Germany took 1 1/2 weeks. Now I'm excited to see his new ClubSport mounting plates!!!

I ordered mine Last saturday, So I should see it next week! I have the Fanatec shifter adapter and it just sit low for me.
greekbull- When did you order yours?

From the time he said he was starting to work on them till the time he shipped was about a week. I first talked to him in December when I saw his post on here though.

I just used the email on the site to email them and he got back to me and then he sent me a invoice thru paypal.

MacAlert- Sorry I bought a carrera wheel off a member here and kept the 6 speed shifter and sold the wheel to my buddy. I wont see the other shifters from fanatec until May. I ordered them on the 12th of this month.

I received the shift adapter from x-cpo yesterday. Did a little video of the install. Great product, puts the shifter in your hand.
