Exhaust tip bug?

Ive noticed on a few cars that after you upgrade the exhaust you are stuck with whatever tips are put on no matter what. Changing back to Standard exhaust does not re-install the original tips.

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this. Upgraded the exhaust on my 246 and didnt like the tips, wanted to stick with the factory dual outlets but it wont let me go back.
 
Change the exhaust, then change the car, then change to the first car back and look if the exhaust is updated. If not, start a race with stock exhaust installed and look if the tips are back to normal.
