One thing I REALLY hope they fix (or maybe I'm doing something wrong) but, say I start a race and I quickly realize I need to make suspension or gearing changes. I exit out of the race and where do i go?? Back to the Circuit selection screen! Why isn't it built like GT5 Prologue where if you exit a race, your left in the paddocks with the capability to change settings, load ghosts and whatnot?? It pisses me off greatly that I have to reload the circuit every time I want to make a settings change. Am I somehow doing something wrong?

Lol, VERY annoying. This also means you can't restart the race after you finish/quit it or use the Data Logger after your races in A/B-Spec. >.<

lol. what i do is man up and finish the damn race, in hopes of winning.

this serves an important function. it allows me to see how much tuning is required (if the gearing is too close or not close enough, or whether I'm better off buying a specific part).

but this might depend on how one plays the game. i generally like having the disadvantage when playing (having the cheap car of the race) against the AI. which is why I may not have a problem as much. this can be annoying, however, in championships, where you altogether forfeit the race.

which prompts me to ask an unrelated question. can you actually save the game in the middle of the championship, like you did in GT4?

If your bouncing the limiter on the straight or pushing through every apex, there's no reason to continue. I worship PD and everything GT, but I will not make excuses for this one, sorry. :dunce: 👎

It's annoying that they removed the practice/qualifying session before the race. This disadvantages you twice, one because if you want a setup before hand you have to practice separately and during a championship you are put at a disadvantage in regards to you possible points rival(s).

👍 Agree..and the garage button when you exit time trial/practice so I can quickly select a different Car or make tuning adjustments.

oh, i never said it was a good thing. it's just how i do things. i used to do it like that in gt4.

but i agree with you. with a game like this one, you need the ability to go back to the race quicker, without wasting time on the loading.

YES!!!!
this is my number one thing i want changed about gt5.
Please PD!!!
make an update so we are able to stop, and finish, and restart like we were able to in GT5 Prologue

Funny thing is, when you finish a race and want to do it again, you have to reload the track. But if you win a special event, you DO get the option to start again, while you can't even get credits for it anymore... :dunce:

GOD i thought i was the only one! its is way to annoying with b spec races just to find out you have the wrong tires on..... or that your car tops out going 180 on daytona and everyone just BLOWS past you!

And if you finish a race, you can't just restart if if you want to improve your resut. You have to reload the whole thing again.
