Hello, i can play maximum 1hour a day and dont have much cash but i want to get some of the expensive cars for over 1mil. May you tell me which of the expensive cars or the ones in the legendary shop are worth getting for racing not looks or rarity.

Group C cars probably will be dominant force on tracks like Tokyo Expressway and Lemans in Gr. 1 so I would buy them.

If its still available in GT7 then the Super Formula Dallara is a ton of fun for going fast (in GTS anyway). I love taking that for a spin on the Nordschleife, hard to go back to Gr. 3 cars afterwards. They're like horse carriages in comparison.

At the game current state, you don't really need any car above 1 mil to any specific event.

No crystal ball here so no idea which cars will be essential in the future to progress.

So, buy the cars you like the most, or save to when they appear on Legendary dealership, if that's the case.

Group C cars probably will be dominant force on tracks like Tokyo Expressway and Lemans in Gr. 1 so I would buy them.
Not really sure, they indeed have more HP than modern LMP1 but not the same gas mileage so probably modern LMP1s would be more effective.

the Peugeot 908 HDI FAP 2010 is available for 1 million in the dealers. It's a great car but the big plus is you can knock it down to just under PP800. You will need to buy the power restrictor, ballast and the RH tyres (it comes with RM). Power all the way down to 70, add I think about 195Kg ballast and drop the ECU a little bit will put it on about 798.

You can then use this for the big money WTC 800 races.

Cars definitely to get:
NSX Epsom 500 08 - think it’s $880,000
Nissan GTR gr2 16 - Maybe 1mil
Merc CLK GTR - 6mil?
Pagani Zonda R - 1.6mil? The huayra is epic too, for a road car.
Mazda, Jag, Nissan group C lemans cars from legendary dealership.
McLarenF1 GTR (effing costly 9mil, but its so nice to drive and insanely versatile) a must buy!

I missed the Sauber ffs, and am pining over the Porsche 962. The lack of Toyota Minolta88 is killing me too.

These are my go to’s for racing 800pp races.

If you want to try GTV’s (I’m not really into them) the Bugatti gr 1 (the light weight one) is maybe the nicest car to drive in the game.

My 2c

1 hour a day, get the tomahawk x and tune it to 600pp do the Tokyo race 3 times and then you can buy several of the cars listed above the following day rinse and repeat

Gr.4: Alfa Romeo 155, very stable and is a good car to have for the Gr.4 races.

Gr.3: Either the Mazda Vision GT or the Nissan GT500 R34. The Toyota GT500 is okay at best but it didn't fare well with Gr.3 atleast not in the Endurance races.

Gr.2: F1 GTR or CLK-LM, I also own the GT500 NSX but I prefer the 90s GT1 cars due to preference.

Gr.1: 787B or Sauber C9

Non Gr cars:

Pagani Zonda R
Ferrari F40 is extremely balanced and can keep up with Gr.2 and Gr.3 cars with ease if fully upgraded. When making custom races it kept up with the F1 GTR and CLK-LM with ease even on bendy tracks like Suzuka but eventually the handling of the GT1 cars made it lose pace with them.
1989 Corvette C4 ZR1 is a beast when fully tuned and sounds pretty menacing.

There are more but these are the ones that instantly came to mind.

Ones I plan on getting in the future are the:

F1 GTR 1995 as it was the best Gr.3 car atleast in GT Sport in the single player races.

Fuel saving isnt always necessary.
Agreed but it can sometimes help - did the 10-lapper at Monza today with the Peugeot 908 Gr.1.
Getting it down to less than PP800 destroys its acceleration and top speed (but thankfully not the super handling).
It's still faster than the competition but because of the rolling start and big time gap, it wasn't going to reel in the Viper in time.
Luckily the Peugeot can do 6 to 7 laps on FM1 which meant only 1 stop - the Viper needed 2, so I won by about 12 seconds.

My personal recommendation is that if an expensive car appears in Used Cars or Legendary Cars, and it comes in multiple colors, I'd make sure it's in a color that you personally prefer. Otherwise, if it's something like a race car, or something that only has a single color/livery, I can see myself waiting until the next time it appears. I know we can re-paint cars, but some cars have neat factory decals that vanish if you paint the car another color. And even if they don't have those, I really prefer leaving some of my cars entirely stock, including the color.

I'd have this apply even to cars under a million credits, like the Toyota 2000GT that recently appeared in Pegasus White.

Otherwise, if you plan to tune and customize the car in question, I'd say the color doesn't matter. That's what I did with a Nissan Skyline GT-R (KPGC10) that I bought from Legendary Cars, as it was white and not silver like I'd prefer it to be. In fact, I specifically re-painted it in Millennium Jade after installing a widebody on it.

Bought the AM Vulcan today - what a machine! Was one of my favourites for certain races in GTS and was worried it might have lost its appeal in GT7 - it hasn't. Great acceleration, high top speed, handles great, really good brakes, and steers very nicely.

Entered the WTC 800 Championship again today (only done it once before and came second) and won the gold trophy. Came 1st in the first four, and fourth at the Ring - but that was much better than my first attempt where I came last.....😂 I don't do well at the Ring.....

I’m also saving up for the Audi R18 ‘11. It may be 3m credits versus the mere 1m for the R18 ‘16, but the ‘11 car is required for a trophy. Plus, once you’ve taken the scapes photo for the trophy, now you’ve also got a Gr.1 car to use for stuff like the 24 minutes of Le Mans mission - not to mention the Gr.1 events that are likely coming, considering we saw them in the Jimmy Fallon build.

Available as of now, in legendary, Nissan GT-R GT500. You gotta hurry.

When the'll be available again: Mazda 787B, Merc CLK-LM, Mclaren F1 GTR longtail, Alfa 155 V6, Porsche 911 GT1 strassenversion, F40, F50...

In brand central: Honda NSX GT500 (probably my favourite car along with the 787B). It's 800.000cr
