Yo people!


Does anyone out there hav any tips for the "complex String" course, and a suitable car to race it with. I use my RGT, but i still cant race it smoothly, the corners are wuite tricky to get around in a smooth motion. :mad:

Any help, anyone? :rolleyes:
 
Erm, why do you need it? Other than using the RGT in the Time Trials, the only other ways to race the Complex String is in the Run & Settings area and the Free Run, both of which do not count anyway... so what's the need for it? :confused:
 
try to break before the turns...not brake while the turns. And also be sure to learn the max. speed for the corners and don't be to fast or to slow...it takes pratice but once u learn the speed to gas after braking its a breeze.
 
As DeliveratorTitan said, look at the replay. Also every time you personally go faster than before, save the replay so you can race your ghost. You can then see where you are going wrong and improve those sections:)
 
Try to learn each corner.
It may looks much, learning every corner, but after 5 or 6 runs, you'll start to learn the perfect approach for each corner.
It worked for me, i went from a 4.50 to 4.40.997 in Time Trial 10
 
Practice, practice, practice, you should set a good 2 hours just to do that track over and over and over and over again, and I sugest using about three cars or more FF FR MR to really learn the track.
 
Also, don't be afraid to get on the kerbs - although fairly high, they're not a problem, and it's a sneaky way to pick up time by getting a wheel on the dirt in the right places.
 
I use Manual gearchanges which gives you more Revs and control..... Also vat_man is right about the Kerbs...specially on those Right-Angle turns...

Braking hard and early, shifts the car weight forward allowing you to lean into the apex...then floor it round and out of the turn...:burnout:

And for those llllllooooooonnnnnnnngggggg turns build the speed up gradually as you go round then full throttle on the exit...

cheers guys ps the reason i need it is because i always race it two player, as it seems to be a perfect track to see whos really a better racer. It combines every hard aspect of the cornering.

Ne ways i just got my time down to 4:42, which isnt brilliant, but its getting better
 
Complex String is one of the best tracks to practice, period.
It has everything going for improving your driving, decreasing radius curves, increasing radius curves, sweeping curves, long straights and off camber corners WILL make you the better driver for all tracks.
Now that Ive said that, I need to practice some myself. :D

Ah, gotcha.. ;)

Other than what the others have said, the only other thing I can think of is to learn throttle control... Most new-ish people accomplish this by feathering/blipping the throttle, but true throttle control is accomplished only by being able to gradually push/release the throttle button... Some people will swear by using the right analog stick as the throttle, but with practice is works just fine with the button pad. :)
 
yeah the button works but does your real car(or any real car) have a gas button ? we are playing a SIMULATION aren't we ?
 
Best times ? With what? Fastest can be done with F1 cars (DOH) but i don't like driving them much... I'd rather throw like a tuned lancer , skyline or RUF around it...
 
best times on time attack, using my personal favourite, the RUF RGT. A challenging course nonetheless :mad:

Use the curbs to get you around corners, tires tend to grasp at curbstones.
