S there any way to export some of the data from the data-logger? I know that there is no direct export function, but I know GT5 stores replays as driving data, so maybe some of the data could be stores in those files. Does anyone know a work-around?

Thanks in advance

I wish there was, but I don't think so. That's one big failing of GT5, lack of logging. The "Log" only records wins and car changes, which is pretty useless.

I'd love it if it could record fastest lap times (whether racing or practicing), engine maintenance etc.

But I'm thinking, if you put your replays onto a USB stick, you get a couple of files... What are stores in these files, since it's not a video file? Could it be data such as speed, gear changes, breaking and so on... (i have not been able to see for myself yet)

Export to where ? I'm sure you know you can compare data logs while viewing current data logs but if your exporting your replays to a buddy to compare data logs, I'm not sure if that works, never tried it to be honest. The data log itself is stored with the replay but you can't access it separately.

I know, i would like to be able to export all the data of 1 lap (or a section of a lap) to excell. Guess that's not possible...

Yeah, I don't think that's possible

Also, the data-logger is pretty useless in GT5 as are torque and power curves in the settings-window, as there are nowhere near enough scale lines so you could actually see at what rpm exactly the most torque is, etc.

I fully agree, that's why I wish there was someway to export all this data and use it for a School project
