How far can you guys start drifting before actually entering the turn (by means of e-brake pulling aka power sliding or dropping the rear in the dirt). I recently started trying this and it's really something challenging yourself to keep drifting as long as possible by extended drifting.

The best turn to try extended drifting is the Andretti's Hair Pin turn in Laguna Seca. It's probably the best one 'cause the straightaway slopes downward's and theres dirt on both sides so you have gravity AND loss of friction to help you maintain an extended drift into the hairpin.

I dont get it and whats an Andretti's Hair Pin? Do u mean drifting before the turn comes or how long can u drift?

My last video shows some pretty good distances. I don't try to use the e-brake as often though. Instead I brake right as the swing in a feint drift occurs. It causes somewhat the same effect as the e-brake slide-in but I lose less speed doing it.

Before i enter the corner i turn the wheels one way gas it and then trun them the other way(feint motion). With my RX7 RZ i feint before the first turn at Apricott hill and countinously drift that whole left hand turn. I feint in my 240SX type-X all the time with ease. Not to toot my own horn but im an awsome drifter!

u know how when your cruising over a hill and then when you reach the top you see a hairpin turn and your like "damn, i could hit that turn with this speed im gaining downwards" so as soon as you start descending, you pull the e-brake as hard as possible in order to just make it up to the turn while your like 100m's away and then you still gotta use that weight transition to clear the 180 degre turn? thats what im talkin about. Drifter X/Komatsu style baby!

Well i dont use the e-brake unless i am 1. Drifting A FF 2. Messing Around I My Cars. I like to drift before on the Trail Mountain Turn, you get more angle if you do this some times, but you have to do it right.

I can link first 2 corners in Laguna Seca (Andretti hairpin and next one) in one continous drift (without any chokudoris).

actually, theres four (including the two you mentioned). You know the 3rd turn after Andretti's hairpin after you go under the 2nd huge tire? Try making your drift as long as possible by dirt dropping your tires. Also, I usually use my 300HP S15 to clear that turn. I start the extended drift exactly after the big big tire thing. With 300HP, its no joke.

you know the turn that comes before the very starting point in settings in my garage (after that turn that requires power over/lift-off underneath the 5th/last big tire thing) is also another awesome extended drift turn.

I like to do "extended drifts" too if that what you guys refer to, but I always started my drift(without E-brake) way too far from the corner, so I'll have to use the E-brake to "extend" the drift, and mostly I just got lucky by using it to get me through the corner successfully, and when I look at the replay afterwards... its like... HOLY ****.... :D
