Extensive Car List for GT4!!

we wont see an "official" car list for like a week or so before release or after the game releases lol.. to me if you see a car list now its most likely a fake unless you hear it straight from PD or Sony..
 
can someone lock this thread and the 778 car thread as it seems its got absoultly no point whatsoeva
 
if it was a fantasy or huge wishlist then i wouldnt lock it.... but if they intend for it to be "official" or have people think its official then close it down but deff put on the heading "UNOFFICIAL" is that too hard to add??...
 
What's truly funny is that that list was orginally posted here at GTP - the "definitive" thread - and then picked up and blathered all over the net as gospel. It keeps coming home to roost, over an over and over.

There are quite a few car lists out there, but I think the closest one to official would be mine (no, I'm not trying to toot my own horn here). It would be nice to see my thread stickied to the top somewhere since we all know that people are going to be wanting to know what cars are in the game.

When - and if - it is ever released, the official PD/Sony car list will be stickied.
 
And that may not be for quite a while, so why not just sticky mine until then?

You can always unsticky it when the official list comes out...
 
I would think that the main reson why is it's not at the top is because it's not oficial, and while it is one of the more accuarte lists out there, there will be mistakes over time and if it's put at the top where it will be believed and there is a mistake or two on it you will be misleading people (without knowing yourself ofcourse).
 
That's why there is a giant disclaimer at the top saying that it isn't an official list :p
 
And thats why it's not at the top, because it's not official, it's a good list but there are several things to consider, like will you keep it up to date? Will it be accurate? Will user on this site think it's official despite the disclaimer (you'd be suprised how dumb ome people are)? And so on.
 
I know there are a lot of n00bs who are a bit clueless, but I just think having some sort of list at the top would be more conveniant for them instead of them posting all new topics asking if such and such car is in or whatever. It eliminates the need for them to find the search button and use it, and it eliminates a lot of redundant posts.

And it's as accurate as can be. If there's mistakes I encourage people to point them out and correct me, and I will fix it. And it is up to date, as can be seen by its twin I posted at the GTF, it's updated daily as soon as the news hits.

I'm not saying it has to be stuck at the top, but I just think it's the best solution here in my humble opinion.

As if the fact that the mythical 778-car list is clearly labelled a wish list made any difference. If it looks even remotely official, thousands of idiots will parade it around as if its the Gospel.

There's very little point in rehashing car lists and release dates, since rehashing it will have precisely ZERO effect on the final form GT4 takes and when it takes that form. Kill time by discussing it if you wish, but don't pretend any informaiton is The Real Thing until the game actually ships.
