Today I'm providing you with a link to a collection of fascinating photographs by Berenice Abbot, who died in 1991. Abbot documented the changes New York went through in the early 1900s and what the foundations to the world's most industriously rich city looked like.

Isn't this the guy that would go for a walk and take pictures every few feet or so? He died with thousands of unprocessed rolls of film.

Great photographer, he was.

Woops. Is this the same person, though? I remember reading about some photographer that walked around New York and took a photo every few feet trying to document the city and its changes.
