Well, I just passed his first thread in the Queue. Perhaps that's why he couldn't get it posted there, as the moderators hadn't made it there yet.

And since Phil essentially wanted to bypass the queue, this gets moved to a more appropriate forum.

mmmmm what i'm really trying to say is that the Extreme Room is just too easy, most of the Series' in it arent worthy of being called Extreme... except that they are just extremely long

I have done the F1 series with, unsurprisingly, an F1 car... was way too easy

I have done the Dream Car Champ, used the Subaru Impreza Super Touring Car... actually this was quite fun cos i was up against the Zonda race car (and he beat me in 2 races)

I have done the Sports Lounge, mmmm cant remember what i used

I just did the Polyphony Digi Cup, now this series is very strange! I have been trying to find a car to give me 200 "a" spec pts per race, to no avail. The field seems to comprise a mini (which always ends up being miles behind everyone), 2 medium cars which sit together on the track (in my case it was a pug 206 and a 106) and 2 much faster cars (i had a corolla runx and an rx7)

but the series' arent really what i would class as "hardcore"

wow. that was totally unfunny. in engrish, the "L"s are replaced with "R"s...however, that doesn't mean the "R"s are replaced by "L"s in return.

you suck at humor and/or comedy. :lol:

It's a pecuriarity of the Engrish ranguage. We think that everyone from either Japan or China (or Korea, or anywhere they use sirry characters and have sritty eyes) reprace arr "R"s with "R"s and arr "R"s with "R"s.

Nevertheress... (I'm going to stop this now, as it's getting too confusing), both characteristics occur but in different languages. The Japanese don't have an "L" in their language, so tend to say "R" instead, but it's not THAT far away, due to how the "R" is pronounced in Japanese. Annoyingly, this is called "lallation", which of course the Japanese can't pronounce.

The whole game is too easy.... you can enter almost every cup with a 900 hp car... remember Gt2 ? strict hp classes and that was way better than the a-spec-point thing...

Agreed. I would like the a/b-spec points system if you are rewarded atleast something.
 
its actually very annoying.... often dont know what car to put in a race

try it stock, get whipped

try it modded, win way too easy


would be REALLY nice if GT4 gave a hint, hp block or summat.... i still think it was rushed out, not enuff thought went into it

"b" spec is very helpful.... i never did the long enduros in gt3

AI.... gawd there just isnt any!! its so damn annoying that the cpu cars just run right thru u, just cos u are on the racing line

no online racing??? nuff said

i love playing GT4, but it just isnt as good as it could have been

Hey phil you know that there is an edit buttin right?

It's only easy because you make it so. Don't enter in your uber tuned race car.

mmmm i DONT run the **** off mod'd cars in every race.... i like to have competition

i try to get decent "a" spec points in most races i participate in.... if i can get 200, and win, i feel a whole lot better
 
My idea to solve this problem was put forward in another thread - how about a quali series where the opposition cars and or skill is determined by how fast you run. 💡 For example, if you run a 7min lap around the ring in the quali series, the cars you are against also run times in the 6:58-7:05 region. This would customise every copy of GT for every single person. If you are a crap driver, at least you can race against crap AI and still have fun. Same if you are an ace. 👍

Nice idea but it is too simple to fool.
for example. Enter fast car in qualifying and drive a slow lap to get less opposition and the you get a very easy race.
The only solution for this is to try a slower car next time but the problem with that is that the huge variation in the AI from one race to the next.
This game can be so good and then next race it can be so bad.
 
Example : 4WD cup

Game mode : Normal ______________________________Easy

Easy hall : - max. 200 PS______________________ AI has max 180 PS
- max. N2 tires
- no race cars
Prof. Hall : - max. 350 PS _________________ _____AI has max 320 PS
- max S2 tires
- no race cars
Extr. Hall : - everything allowed_______ AI adapts to your car : Your car - 5 to 10 %


That is how I would like to have the game...
