Introduce an extreme power tuning option for engines(-drivetrains?) with large displacement/extremely high tuning potential like certain 6-cylinder and over and 3-rotor (2-rotor?) engines ... and also some smaller ones (4G63 etc.) ... there are so many real world examples from existing tuning houses ... popular engines from cars like GTR, Lambos, Corvette, Viper, Supra ... from dragster and unlim 500+

it could be available after certain car mileage, victories and/or certain amount of game progression and/or for a very large amount of money (and with expensive maintenance) ... together with events specially made for this category ... GT has the logic to simulate the required precision for this ...

I've always liked the idea of having the current tuning system, then having a 'research and development' option, with the cost increasing after each use. It wouldn't give a definite power output, but would increase it. Therefore, if you wanted to, you could chuck 3mil at a Nissan gtr and have it pushing 2000bhp.

, this sounds like an accident waiting to happen, I'd throw all of my money at a Daihatsu Midget II and it would end up with 400+bhp.

That's my point. If you want a 400hp midget in real life, you could do it If you threw endless money at it.

It would keep alot of people happy when it comes to some of the cars power outputs when fully tuned (see Escort Cosworth rally car and various others)

I agree it would get silly and you would see some monster claimed outputs, but we have online regulations etc to keep things fair.
