When I first heard about hybridding the first thing I thought was "Wow! I'll be able to make a Yaris Racecar!!!" or something like that...as I now know, it's impossible...at present.

So if you havent guessed already, I'm talking about colour changes with hybridding. How come you can't do it? Is it unstable? Has it even been tried for that matter? Is it possible? I'd like to know as much about this subject, as I'm sorely missing my MX-5 LM lemans edition :(.

They really made this! Honest!

the color change is about as stable and the visual change, the game kept crashing. If i could, i would have just the diablo but purple instead of "Nomad" being plastard on the side. Has it been atempted, yes, you can use any color that THAT car has on it, but not on other cars.

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but can you tell me more about this attempt? And its only possible on the Nomad?

Thanks - Rich.

well it would help if famine or nathan would look at this thread. The color change came along with the body molding. It had been attempted by Mr.MK by do things like taking the from end off of a nsx and puting it on a mustang svt, but the game kept crashing, so currently all MK has done is just make the car accesible colors avabile..

It's fairly simple really. the cars are coded on the game disc in there available colors only. If U try to use a color code for a car that is not coded to it, it will usually cause the game to freeze. Ocaissionally, the car will default to it's lightest available color, like GT2 did. The only way to acheive a color change beyond the games boundaries, like a black Mustang SVT for instance, would be to somehow rewrite the game disc to make that color available for that car.

I was just wondering, because I thought that if PD had used a color mapping program for the cars, it would probably be possible to change them with the right tools and programming skills...

(edit: so I guess that idea has no future either then?)
