I'm experiencing extremely long loading times in GT6 since the update 1.18 when accessing any feature requiring online connectivity. Waiting times are up to a few minutes, including the initial log in that checks for the daily bonus. Online racing is not affected, however entering the online menus such as seasonals, open lobby and GTAcademy takes ages to progress. Menus such as dealers and single player load at the usual speed. It is very frustrating to enter a seasonal event and having to wait 3 minutes until the event menu appears, then waiting another minute for the event to let me on track.

I've checked my router settings and all seems fine there, I even have all recommended ports opened for the ps3. Nat type is also unchanged at 2. Reboots have so far not yielded any improvements. The PS3 is hardwired.

Has anyone encountered similar problems and come across solutions?

I did have loading delays but I think I resolved by deleting some data from the PS3 as the loading times are back to normal now and delays haven't been occurring lately.

Data as i replays, pictures, etc? If its hard disk drive, i still have 300gb space on my ps3. I could try re-installing patch data, but I've heard that many have errors on a clean install of patch 1.18. I dont realy want to risk it.

I have the impression that the time between the end of a race and the beginning of the automatic replay is longer than it used to be.

And, sometimes, the time to check for the daily bonus is longer.

No hard data here, just impressions.

I've noticed the same thing as well. Connecting to the main lobby and community menues takes a very long time, and so does exiting them.

I have been saving a lot of online replays of late...I will try deleting to see if that resolves the problem.

I've also noticed increased loading times when exiting GT Auto, Paint, and Aero/Wheel shop. If I make a change to the car, the game loads for up to 30 seconds after exiting back to the main GT home screen. Coild this be due to my car count becoming too high?

I also have very slow loading times except it's my old and worn out PS3 to blame.

Hi, experienced that too, started with GT Academy going online for me. It seems to be a connection issue with some central server, as sometimes everything works well, sometimes the UI slows down to a crawl combined with an error message 'Couldn't connect to Room server, Error 1250' when entering the community section. Community works but every UI action takes 1min to execute. Even the game loading takes loong then, and for example Seasonals take super long to load. The fact that every other day everything loads fine seems to indicate that the problem is with GT6 and not my network or game state. No solution found.

Sometimes going to track online and navigating menu's for me can take a full 2 minutes, is this down to replays etc or is my ps3 wearing out?

I have the same problem, not so very long ago I waited about five minutes before the system allowed me to come on track.

Slightly off-topic, but ever since they implemented community, my system hard freezes when i click on "friends"...

Other than that, haven't really had any issues, besides the ones carried over from GT5 of course!

I've taken the suggestion to delete all my fast lap replays, pictures, etc. and it seemed to have helped the issues a bit. The entire Loading process for the online features such as news and community still feels sluggish, but I haven't encountered a 5min wait since (max 2min so far). I've only had about 10 larger replay files and never really looked at them, so it wasn't hard letting go of them.

I doubt its the PS3 wearing out since I got a new one 2 weeks after GT6 release.

I'm glad its not just on my end and others are also experiencing the slow response. The long wait still dampens my enthusiasm on playing thought.
