Is the site running slow for you? If so, then please post your traceroute results.Originally posted by ALPHA
Me 56k! - Yawn this is going to be a long day!
Well then, would you please post your traceroute results so we could at least confirm this is a connection problem? I'm going to have a very hard time doing anything about this when the server is running smoothly and I'm not experiencing any problems myself.Originally posted by viper_maniac
Good god. It just took me like forever to edit a post. Geez.
Please, Alpha, post your traceroute results so we can try to figure out where this 300ms ping time is coming from.Originally posted by ALPHA
I apparantely have a whopping 300ms ping with GTP
A traceroute will show you each hop that your data makes on its way to and from another computer as it crosses the internet. It can also be used to identify which network is causing a slowdown by looking for high ping numbers. The closer high numbers are to you, the more likely it is a problem with your ISP. The closer it is to the GTPlanet server, the more likely it is a problem with my webhosting company. Very high pings and slow loading pages will let you know that there is a connection problem somewhere along the line. Very low ping times and slow loading pages will let you know that the server is bogged down due to a lot of dynamic pages being created, or there could be a program or script running using up most of the CPU's resources at that particular time.Originally posted by ALPHA
The trace results was alot of pings with servers ranging from 100 to 1000.
So what info is the trace thingy?
