Just thought I'd share some info on Sony's new (eye)toy. Apparently its a USB camera that tracks your motions and shows them on your TV. The neat thing though is that it can translate these movements into a game. For example, in one game showed, the eyetoy was used for a soccer sim. in which you could bounce or kick the ball past a goalie. It's not very exciting right now, but with some imagination, developers could create games that weren't possible even a year ago. Anyways, I kinda rambled, but I thought I'd save some people a few bucks for looking here instead of buying a magazine.

Another good thing about the Eye Toy is that it gives you a good excercise while having fun.Try playing it with a few mates for about an hour,you'll see thouse pounds fly off hehe.

The above statemnet has nothing to do with my current health condition.:D
 
- Sony announced a number of new EyeToy game titles will be coming out in Japan later this year. First is Saru EyeToy (Ape Escape EyeToy), a new Mario Party style party board game featuring characters from Sarugetchu (Ape Escape). Saru EyeToy will have over 30 mini-games, the game will be released in Japan on August 5.....

- Second EyeToy game from Sony is EyeToy FuriFuri Dance Tengoku, a reworked version of SCEE's music rhythm game EyeToy Groove, in this game you need to touch the indicated areas on the screen, following the rhythm of the music, the game will have dozens of Japanese pop music and anime songs. EyeToy FuriFuri Dance Tengoku will be released in Japan on June 24, for 4500 yen.

- The third announced EyeToy game is Konami's EyeToy Sports, the game is scheduled for a July 15 release in Japan, but no details of the game has been announced yet.

- Sony has also announced that the Japanese version of MLB 2004 will be compatible with EyeToy camera, you can use the EyeToy camera to create the face of the character you create in the Character Edit mode. MLB 2004 is scheduled for a May 27 release in Japan, for 5800 yen.
