HOLY CRAP!!! Why has it taken me so long to get Formula 1 cars? Anyone that hasn't done so yet needs to go get golds on all the Endurance races RIGHT NOW. It will make life on GT3 so much more enjoyable.

I'm saving the Formual GT Championship for last ... I want it to be special (:

I also want to win all these at the same time

Formula GT Championship Winner
Professional League Golds
100% Game Completion

I figure THREE prize cars at the same time should be something cool to do.

PLUS ... "All Races in Simulation Mode"

That means I get FOUR cars ... and you know what's even better than that? THEY'RE ALL FORMULA ONE CARS!!!!

YEA BABY YEA!

You've of course got the best F1 car there (assuming it drives the same as the Polyphony001 from my version).

Nice ambition - like having the trip meter and the odo and the odo on your car rollover at the same time.

You'd want to be pretty thorough making sure you've got everything else done. Good luck with the time trials....

Yea, no joke. I've only gotten first on three of them so far. How many are there, eight? Ugh, it's going to be a long wait before I can hunker down and run the F1 Challenge 'for real'. I've been trying out each of the races (:

Have any of you guys noticed that the replay camera can't keep up with the F1s? I find it kind of funny. It seems to be designed for cars running around 140mph, instead of 190 - 200 mph. The cars are in and out of the frame before you can tell which ones are which. It's cool when it does the 'nonattached chase' view though. Especially over hills and through curves.

That's what I did, and let me tell you, it is most rewarding. :D

Everyone claims the Super Speedway Endurance is the lazy man's shortcut to an F1. It is one of four random prize cars.

You might want to read through this list:

 I don't know about the "Lazy Man's Shortcut", I would probably call it the "lucky man's shortcut". :D

Myself, being one of the lucky one's. I was at around 9-13% complete when I decided to try the Super Speedway Endurance. On my first try, I won a Red F090/s, however, I've heard of members trying that Super Speedway Endurance 10+ times and NOT getting a single F-1 (F090/s for the NTSC version).

The fastest car you've got of course! (: Most people probably use the Escudo Pikes Peak rally car. It can go the fastest, but doesn't handle well at all. But since it's just an oval, you just need to go fast, the wall will turn you where you need to go. The cars you're racing against appear to be unmodified mid range cars. If you've got something that can average 140 mph, and put the T1 (super slick) tires on it, you shouldn't have to pit, and just fly around the track.

I used an Acura NSX. Here's some strategy:

  1. NEVER PIT
  2. Run your tires red through the entire race.
  3. Do some real nice wall riding.
  4. Win an F090/s and 200,000 credits...;)
    [/list=1]

Even if your slower, the other cars will pit, giving you an advantage cause you won't be pitting. This is really the only track/race that I endorse wall writing..

i would pit between every 25-30 miles because my RUF would hit 200 and hold 140(i think) in the turns. I lapped people all the time so i could have stopped the game, went to the store for some mid race refreshments and came back with a few laps lead.

Heh, that's the way the story goes (: In an F1 you can hold it up around 180mph through the small turn and to the floor at 210 on the big curve.

When I ran that race I was up against some wine red sedan (think it was a Chaser) that pitted every other lap :). I nearly fell asleep, only thing that kept me going was a burning desire to bump all those orange cones into the pitlane (missed two dammit!)
In the end I won the 'Vette C5R, I'm still not sure whether I should be pissed or happy about that..

{spidermon_alpha}
The Vette is a lot better at scooping cones than the 1080 HP Skyline I was driving at the time

I was trying that but I was using the Escudo, and it doesn't turn corners.

Well, you have to let off the gas ... (: And if you pump the breaks you can whip the front end over a little. This all takes some tuning and tweaking though.

Well I don't mean that it literally doesn't turn corners, I'm just trying to point out that the Escudo is the single biggest pile of ****e in the game. I have 1000bhp esprit (beast of a car) that turns corners better than that.
