F1 2007 at night...

Just wondered if anyone has any thoughts of the possiblity of racing the Ferrari F1 2007 at night...

Thing is it has no headlights so I wonder if PD will allow this? Maybe a similar 'lock' to the Auto Union Streamliner '37 in GT4 where you could only take it for time trials on certain tracks.

If you can race the F1 2007 at night then it will take some skill because looking at the e3 videos the night racing looks epic!
 
most tracks will have lighting though, I forget which F1 race is at night, but the whole track is flood-lit.
 
On the old night tracks there was street lamps :p.
 
On previous GT night tracks we didn't have any actual headlights and it was fine, I suspect they'll be similar in GT5, dark scenery, not really that dark actually on track...

Rally stages will be properly dark like in the trailers probably...
 
Abu Dhabi GP and Singapore GP says "hi".
 
So far the only track we have seen that has been dark enough to need lights is a rally track which you wont be allowed to take an F1 car into.

Singapore and Abu Dhabi GP. the later is just amazing..
 
The same issue would occur if the headlights can be broken as part of the damage system.

In GT4 you couldnt use certain cars with certian tracks and could enter race series with special cars, this is likely to be how they do it in GT5. So when you select your F1 2007 and Toscana Night it will just say NO! :sly:

Eithewise your could also rally in your F1 car (how cool would they be in real life!).
 
Imagine driving an F1 car at Tokyo at night.

Only way to see is lamps and city lights. :)
 
Hell, at Hong Kong, you probablt don't even need lights because of all the lights around Hong Kong. And yes, I'd love to race Tokyo R246 at night. Always wanted to. The only way I see this happening is if we get some kind of lively street course raced at night. That's even if we get Singapore. That's even if we get Dubai Autodrome or Yas Marina Circuit at night. Hell, even throw in Losail for some MotoGP-with-cars action.

Or at best, only thing close to F1 at night on a proper setting would probably be a night race on Special Stage Route 5 or (if it returns) Special Stage Route 11. I think GT3 and GT4 had Formula GT races on evening and night courses, so it probably wouldn't be the first time we'd see F1 cars racing at night (even if they are fictional F1 cars).
