went online today with the new f1 2012 and it is a lot faster at connecting to rooms and loading races. but why do some people who race online attempt to ram you off the track if you try to pass them. had one guy at monaco just swerve side to side on the trac so you could not overtake them and when you did he would ram you. he did this to me and slamend me in to the barrier and my race was over.shurly there should be some how you can kick these typer of players out of the room.

The online play is atrocious. You have to wait to long between races for a start. Sometimes it shows you in the wrong position and blue flags you. When you let people past, it still says your in the same position. If you clip a clown you are lapping, you get a penalty. They should be transparent like gt5. Come on codemasters! Sort this fundamental s**t out. Very poor for such a title. If I was Bernie, you would have your licence revoked. :-(

This looks like the best place to rant, because on rare occasion, I need to:

So, I've been playing F1 2012 online for about 38 races now. I'm not the fastest driver around, because I have no aids on, and I generally need more practise, but I've got two race wins under my belt, somehow.

The problem online is not just the penalty system, but the stupid, lame, thrashy, arrogant bits of dog poop who are littered throughtout each lobby. I do my level best to keep my racing clean, and I will admit, I've received 13 penalties, though 11 where most certainly not deserved, and the other two were completely accidental, to which I did send a polite sorry to the player, and let him past in the race again.

However, what in the world is the problem with these players? They ram you off the road, weave in and out on the track, demolish everyone and everything in their path, ruining what could be a beautiful race! I just want to play some F1 with fellow humans to hone my skills further, but I have to fight off idiots at every turn before trying to push to find clear air. Okay, my average finishing spot is currently 3rd, but how? I have NO idea. I spend most of my time sidewards or backwards on the first godforsaken lap, and when I do finally get back on track some dweeb decides that it's okay to come down the inside of a corner and hit your rear wheel in the side, meaning once again I am backwards.

This game has it's flaws yes, but I like it. Online however, it's a frigging joke, and absolute frigging joke. And here I was thinking GT5's online was bad. Gee, online in GT5 is heaven, at least you only end up with one or two idiots a race on average, not 8 out of 16!

Gosh, I haven't even started my rant properly, I think I could go on for hours, but I better not, Mr GTPlanet (Jordan) himself may come along and ban me!

But seriously, is it too much to ask for one lovely day of racing. I don't care if I come last, I just want fair racers with a blooming brain.

Sounds exactly like my problem, I only went online for the trophies and I just dropped to the back of the grid on purpose because of the morons that play the game online. Once I got the trophies, never played online again, there was the occasional fair player here & there but mostly 6r olds thinking they were playing Ridge Racer. Hideous experience, really hope they can it for 2013.

Well, this was my first F1 game since F1 2004... Impressed? Not online. And I won't be getting another F1 game I don't think...

While I don't have F1 2012 (and don't plan to get it), I hate when PS3 games force you to play (or even worse, win) online just to get trophies.
