Can someone post a link for the supposed video of the 4 min f1 lap? I've tried to find it, and am starting to think it's bs. Supposed to be 4:01:... or something like that.

A lap of, I presume, the Nurburgring in 4'01 does not exist, therefore, no, we haven't seen it.

I think you can safely assume it's BS.

Assume the F1 car can drive at an average speed of 180MPh around the 'Ring (which in itself is a bit far fetched, but bleh).

180MPh / 60 minutes = 3 miles per minute.
The' Ring is about 13 miles long, so 13 miles / 3 miles per minute = a minimum possible lap time of 4.3 minutes.

(I know this uses a lot of assumption, but to pull off that lap time, you'd have to be driving at an almost constant 200MPh.)

So...BS.

Yeah I realize that, but I wasn't sure of the time. Supposedly it's a guy who built a full race cockpit, with screen, the whole bit. Just wondered if anyone had seen it.

Not sure if it was quite as quick as that but i do recall seeing an exceptionally quick sub 5 minute time in an F1 car. The guy playing it is using a custom built cockpit, wheel, widescreen and all that & turns to the camera at the end, showing that he is really playing it. It was fantastic & i'm looking for it again too.:)

You guys are thinking of the 88C-V Minolta. Were a number of people claimed the pride, but there was another person that just came to GTP and said he did a 4,20 or somthin wich is also very imposible wihtout cheats.
