F1 Car Guide: What we have, and the real counterparts

I figured i might as well do a wright up of the F1 cars in GT4 and what thier real-life counterparts. if i leave any out just tell me :)

Here goes:

Red-Ferrari
Blue/White-Williams BMW
Grey-McLaren Mercedes
Green/Yellow-Jaguar
Yellow/Green-Bennetton (?)
White/Purple-(none i can think of, Lieger maybe?)
White-BAR Honda or Stewart F1
Orange/Black-Arrows
Blue/Black-Red Bull
Black-Minardi or any pre-season test car

and i cant think of any others


will make a photo comparison chart as soon as i can to go with this
 
Aren't they all the same car but with different paint schemes?

Is there any way to "choose" the color?
Like take the Audi R8 for the 24h Nuerburg and get a silver, take a CLK touring car for the red......???

Still haven't done that 24h race. Mission #34 is priority! :crazy:

I am afraid that's not the case buddy. All the colors is ramdomly chosen by computer. I have the grey one, but I really want that red one. :dopey: . I might have to run again sometimes in the future

Too bad you can't down- and upload Parts of the Memory Card online!
So, someone could give (upload) you the red one.
That'd be actually a very cool feature for the PS3.

I've seen a guy post a screen shot of his garage (of course GT4 garage) with 9 diff colors F1. Amazing, I personaly like the blue one and red one. But I dont think I have that patient to beat the 24hr endo another 9 times. (not to metion you might get repeat colors :grumpy: )

It can be done a few different ways. Myself, I archive some files to a ZIP drive using a memory manager, and a USB drive. That file could then be sent to someone and put on a card, the the cars can be traded....

That's very cool! I didn't know that! If everything fails, I'll get back to ya some day.... :)

There are no real life counterparts. All it is is that they have similar (but not the same colours schemes).
 
what would the castrol coloured f1's "counterpart" be?
 
I have about 6 of the F1 cars and I've never gotten a double yet. I still don't have the orange one tho I want that one the most.
 
i was not saying performance or design wise, im just saying paint wise........


why cant we have Senna's cars back...in thier real colours? thats one thing i would really like....

I also thought you tested a Formula 1 versus the real deal at like Monaco, or something...
 
The F1 car i got was an orange one and I love it. Although not being able to choose the colors of your prize car is annoying, in this case I probably would not have picked the orange car but now it is my favorite besides the black one.
