F1 Cars European version

I got the game 2 days ago (European version), as an F1 fan went immediately for the F1 ones, first i won the speed endurance race but unfortunately it gave the Corvette CR , but with this won the Monte Carlo endurance and finally got an F1 named   Polyphony 002 .  A turbo 1500 cc, 790 hp, 500 Kgr.



Is this equivalent to an 686 or there is a better F1 car in the game?
Are there any non-turbo F1's ?

Great cars i like that they made them like the old turbo  F1 cars.

Hi, we are finding problems with the F1s on Pal version.
All the F1s are either Polyphony001 or 002, maybe there are only two, anyone on Euro Pal will find-out as they win them.

We could do with contacting scee to find out what the hell has happened with the F1s on Pal

Hi, Not checked them yet, but I guess the V10 engine will be better.

hi , i found out in case you did not know that in the
NTSC ver of the game , the F....   stands for :

F(formula) 0 (10V) or 6(6V) etc and last two number the date this car was driven. ie 90 -> 1990.
Then the initial letter is for the driver who drove it ie:
S = Senna ( the best ever)
M = Mansell
H = Hill

In the european version there are
Polyphony 001 and 002 etc. don't know why!!!!!!

I think the V6 turbo will be faster as in the NTSC ver the 686 is the fastest with respect to the 10 cylinder ones, assumingly not with turbo!

I have the Poly002 (6 V turbo), the Poly(001) is a 94 Williams(Hill driven) won in SuperSpeedway.

Yes thanks, I've just found a contact at scee, so I've fired off an email to try and find out exactly what they have done to the Pal version.

i checked on the f1 championship tournament,

only polyphony001(10 V non turbo)

and polyphony002(V6 turbo).

The older V6 the fastest, i won the 10V by something like 30 sec diff.
