Anyone still play this game? I'm planning to get this game to add to my collection of F1 games. It's only $5 on Amazon right now for a used copy.

How is the AI in this game? CM's F1 2011/2012 AI are really inconsistent. How does this game's AI compare to CM's F1 games? And any other features worth mentioning?

This game is awesome! I still play it from time to time. The sense of speed is way better than f12012. Ai is pretty good. It has its flaws but you should really try it out. The graphics will surprise you I'm sure.

I didn't notice that. :p

So I went there and learned that you can unlock old F1 cars! Looks better than F1 2012 so far. I'm definitely gonna buy this soon.
You won't be disappointed. I've put so many hours into this game, it's ridiculous. I created a career thread in the forum but never saw it through (not too late though). However there are issues if I'm to be objective. The AI during blueflags have ruined more than one race of mine and out of Monaco pitlane they just run into you like crash crazy maniacs. Don't think it's possible to download Force Feedback effects anymore and the pitcrew will make enraging new strategy decisions if you lose the front wing or put other than wets on in rain unless you run a full lap in the rain first... But I just ignored the imperfections because I loved it so much. :dunce:

What do you mean by downloading Force Feedback effects? Do you download other people's wheel settings?

So how does career work? I assume you start with the lower teams first and then you move on to the better teams?

Career works exactly like that. It is pretty much a standard affair.

When the game was released there was no force feed back or rumble, because of the sixaxis controler at the time. I don't know if this game will still download a patch. Online mode has been disconnected for a while now.

There are some games that use an unusual way to deliver updates, e.g. Motorstorm1 or GT5P. If their servers are turned off you can't update your game any longer.
I think F1CE is not one of these games and you should be able to update even if the online service has been discontinued.

What he means is that when the game first came out it didn't have Force Feedback (license thing at the time) . I've not played this game much bought it when it first came out, Fatboy PS3 crashed and burned. I now have a slim and loaded F1CE (TODAY April 15,2013) and deleted Game data loaded game and it came up that it needed to install update, which it did. This update was for FFB and vibe function on DS3. I didn't hook my wheel up but the DS3 did have vibe function so I'm sure the wheel will have FFB also. Hope this helps you decide.

This is probably my favorite Formula 1 game on the PlayStation 3. I've enjoyed all of Codemasters Racing's titles but this one is my favorite one to play. Easily worth the price of admission nowadays.

Thanks for the info guys! I just wish that my local Gamestop sells this game so I don't have to wait days for the game to arrive.

That's good info. I do backup my PS3 data but still good to know.
