Okay, just got S license two nights ago, tried F1 Championship last night... Can you say "Oh good Lor-!" Do I simply suck, or is that quite a hard championship?

(BTW, just wondering: In the PD Championship, does the CPU choose cars that can compete on the same level as the car you bring in, or are the cars always the same? I ask, because I tried the race with both the Nissan Z Concept and the Jag XJ220, and for both times I was pitted against the same cars, which doesn't make sense, since the Jag is way better... )

The F1 championship is quite a hard championship if you're using anything but an F1 car. However, I've heard that it isn't too hard when using an F1 car (I wouldn't know since I've never won an F1 car). It is possible to win without using an F1 car, but realistically you will only have 3 cars to choose from: the Mazda 787B, Nissan R390 GT1 LM Edition, and the Toyota GT-One Race Car.

And to answer your other question, no, the computer doesn't use different cars depending on which car you are using. You will find that the general range of horsepower that the cars the computer will be using will have from around 270 to 370 horsepower.

Yea, the f1 stuff is pretty tough the 1st time.
for polyphony race my suggestion would be to win the tuscan series and get the speed 12, put meduim tires on it and do the polophony race.

I must step in and briefly say something here. I am in the middle of this series as I type this. I tried the F090/S before. I think it would be decent since I did win the first 2 races pretty easily. Grand Valley gave me problems since I couldn't get 6 laps out of my tires. So I ended up quitting the series because that car just wasn't cutting it.

I won the F094/S from the Polyphony Cup. I then proceeded to the F1 Championship again. I am perfect through the first 4 races. Super Speedway isn't a problem anyway. I have no idea what is ahead for the races after Rome. That is where I am now. Laguna Seca should be quite interesting. Usually tire wear and overall lap times will make the difference. This F094/S is awesome though. I had to get used to its handling though, since it screams like 15 mph faster than the F090/S.

Good luck!!! :burnout::burnout::burnout:

I just finished the F1 championship earlier today. I thought it was pretty easy, cause i won all races with one lap ahead to the polyphony 001 and 3 laps to the polyphony 002. I used my polyphony 001 with 813hp.
Only thing is that you cant change tires on that car, so you'll have to make a lot of pitstops

I noticed that also. Everyone has medium tires, and there is no way around that. It is still a good series though. Tests your skill and grit I think..... :cheeburga

Well, I have an F688, so I'm at a slight power/weight disadvantage, especially compared to the F094... So, is it still possible to win with this car? Would I have a better chance with the 787B, since that can be modded?

Thanx! :)

No no no, the f688 is much better than any other cars, besides fellow f1's. You will have the best luck with your f1.

Well, think that the 787B would be quite a challenge for you ;)

Use any F1 car, you will stand a good chance to win if you play your cards right. Good luck! :burnout:

Yeah! I just won the Polyphony 001 on Super Speedway . It took about 10 Endurance Races to get there but boy was it worth it.

I think the car rules but....like someone mentioned before your stuck with Medium tyres .

This came as abit of a shock as I use super slicks on any other race and don't pit.

I haven't given the F1 Championship a shot yet, sounds like a nice little challenge. :D

Just got my **Special Licence** convientaly befor the F1 car.

Later..... :cheeburga

Yeah, I tried to get super slick tires for my F1, but there are no upgrades whatsoever for those cars. I guess that is a good thing though. When you race the GT Championships with your F1, just watch for times and pit scheduling. Some races they pit about every 6-9 laps usually. It all depends on the tracks. I had a tire experience (problem I should say) on Grand Valley. I made a thread about it, but it has been a while since that was up. Good luck!!! :burnout:

Well, 27 laps at Grand Valley doesn't make anything different. Pits for the AI always occur at the end of lap 6, 12, 18, and 24. That does not change. I have figured that out, at least here on my console anyway.

What killed me on that race with the F090/S was that my pits were on laps 5, 10, 15, 20, and around 24 or 25... I could still get second pretty easily, but I could not catch that F094/S. But that isn't a problem now, I pit on the schedule they do, and I have no problems keeping first place from the first turn. :burnout:
