I have posted this thread because I am constantly failing to find some good sites that are dedicated to providing high quality footage that also is permitted by the FIA. Andrey Grushin whom seems to be a spin-doctor of F1 footage on the internet is nothing but a ghost, searching his name only came up with a few posts on message boards that mentioned him as some sort of surgeon, (that or my Russian is'nt too flash  ). F1 mpeg archive has closed down, you can imagine i was pretty peeved about hearing the FIA had closed that down, . F1onboard and Crashin.nu are sites where you have to request a clip and wait for someone to post it, not exactly what an archive should be :grumpy: . The links on Youtube are horse-crap and break my computers neck trying to load those sites. Please help me!!!:scared: :nervous: :scared: :nervous: :scared:

Well, you could try F1 Archives for 'classic' F1 footage, but I don't think there are any sites left since most of them have been closed down (as you pointed out).

i usually post a few videos (from itv1 - UK tv channel) and screencaps in the race topic - see page 4 of the spanish F1 grand prix topic, for example

you could always check google video, or i have heard that bit comet is a good program for sharing 'HOME videos'.

They were asked to take down their clips or face legal action. Copyright/broadcasting/contractual reasons really.
That, and Bernie Ecclestone wasn't getting any money from it, which of course makes him angry.

Yep, that too

There is plenty of F1 stuff "out there", it's just a shame that the FOA don't like people distributing it. A couple of the sites mentioned in this thread used to be really good for F1 clips, but sadly no more. Good job I got in beforehand (86GB and counting), but a shame for everyone else.

When are we going to see Google Ferrari?
