F1 .. Formula 1

Hey guys. I was thinking of purchasing on of the above. Either F1 2002 or Formula 1 2002. I know they are two different things and I was just wondering which you thought was better? I've heard that one of them's more realistic then the other.

Can you, those of you that have heard or played them both, compare the two for me? Which would you prefer? Is there gona be a 2003 version of either of these?

also consider grand prix challenge. The best idea for you is to try all of them. I havent heard horriblew things about any of the games, and it seems there is praise by certain people for all of them. Whether its the dumbass that knows nothing about real racing, or a hardcore sim junkie.

get grand prix challenge. the game might fall short in the presentation department but it sure does make up in game play and graphics.
it's like playing gran turismo of formula1 franshise. it is good.

No idea - I would imagine so. Didn't EA do an 'F1 Career' or similar this year instead?

This is why I run GP3 on the PC, rather on the console - you can download updates on the net, including cars, tracks, points and qualifying positions, so you're not stuck with whatever season it was when you bought the game.

What would be the best car to use in the F1 championship ive tried it with my poly1 and win the first race but lose in most the others

First off, let me just say I'm new here and probably don't know half as much about this game as the rest of you but since i've won the F1 championship, I 'think' I can answer this question..

Oh..FYI..I've not played GT3 in some time due to some personal issues recently and due to the fact that a friend of mine has my current copy of the game, I'm going by 'memory' here..for what it's worth..

Not sure how many F1 cars you've acquired so far but the one that I used, and again I'm sorry for not knowing the exact details here, had the following charecteristics...

Horsepower Output: 790 (+/-)
Weight: Under 1000lbs

Most of the other cars have more Horsepower but also weight more. So, just use the one with the highest HP to weight ratio..

If this doesn't help...all I can say is... sorry! but I'm just a nOOb!
