FIA 2007 Grand Prix schedule:

18 March: Australia (Melbourne)
8 April: Malaysia (Sepang)
15 April: Bahrain (Manama)
13 May: Spain (Barcelona)
27 May: Monaco (Monte Carlo)
10 June: Canada (Montreal)
17 June: United States (Indianapolis)
1 July: France (Magny-Cours)
8 July: United Kingdom (Silverstone)
22 July: Germany (tbc)
5 August: Hungary (Budapest)
26 August: Turkey (Istanbul)
9 September: Italy (Monza)
16 September: Belgium (Spa)
30 September: China (Shanghai)
7 October: Japan (Fuji)
21 October: Brazil (Interlagos)

So Imola has been dropped and Germany look likely to do the alternating thing between Hockenheim and the Nurburgring.... Fuji (as expected) has taken the place of Suzuka, and Spa is back! Quite glad that Bahrain has been bumped back to 3rd rather than the 1st race of the season, too...

Meh...it was getting rather predictable to have Melbourne host the first race every year from 1996 to 2005. I realize it should be held at a warm-weather locations, but a little shake-up couldn't hurt.

This marks the first time in ages Spa follows Monza; not since 1985, and that was an un-scheduled change in plans...

I'd rather we kept Imola, and finally abandoned Monaco.

Hah I love the date of the Biritsh GP, the first weekend after my 18th! Means practice will be on my birthday but hey, I'm not complaining!

Now to find Dad.. Muwahhahaha..

Good to see Spa back, and I'm happy to lose Imola. Not so keen on losing Suzuka, and I prefer Hockenheim to the Nurburgring, but if the German track alternates each year than I've no complaints. I'd rather the Japanese Grand Prix do the same.

Nice to see Spa back on the calendar. And I hope they bring back Suzuka someday, because Fuji isn't as good a track.

Come on people, whats so bad about Fuji? You all watched an F1 race on the new track? No..becausee they havnt raced there...how do you know you want Suzuka back when a) this years race hasnt been raced yet and it might be rubbish and b) Fuji might be a 10x better race.

Quit whining about it and judge it after its been raced..like we do with all new tracks..

Quite glad that Bahrain has been bumped
back to 3rd rather than the 1st race of the season, too...

Let's not forget though, only reason that happened was because of the Australian Tennis tournament, so it wasn't to be a permanent thing.

It's looking an interesting season, no European GP, no San Marino, no Imola, No Suzuka. Looking forward to Fuji.

I'm not bothered what replaces what , what bothers me is that we have less races I would've like to see more than what we have this season :( , I would love to see more tracks added than removed

TS
No Suzuka, no Imola, F1 is just gonna be a bigger suckfest next year. 👎

I kinda agree with you on Suzuka, as it's a much more interesting layout, but Fuji should have at least two good passing zones. As for Imola...why is dropping it a bad thing? Ever since the chicane rape following Senna's death the place has been right up there with Monaco and Budapest on the "F1 Circuits So Hard to Overtake on It's Not Even Funny" list. And realistically speaking Italy, like Germany, does not need two grands prix, regardless of how loudly the tifosi may scream that's not the case.

f1 need some more super high speed track like fuji, good to see fuji back, but i also like suzuka, can fia do both???:indiff:

Tennis tournament? It was actully because of the Commonwealth Games.

I'm happy to see Fuji instead of Suzuka, becuase I think it might make some great racing and afterall, it is the origional home of the Japanese GP, as far as I am aware.

i wondering if can f1 car go faster than 380km/h at the longest straght???
the r92cp can go about 400km/h(real life in old fuji)

The BBC was very premature in listing the circuits for 2007. Not even the FIA listed the circuits that would be used. There is no evidence as to which circuits will be used.

The German GP could be held at Hockenheim or at the Nürburgring. San Marino is undergoing upgrades for the 2008 race, so I doubt that we’ll be losing Monza for 2007. Fuji, IIRC, has signed a contract to host the Japanese GP, though.

It is also fairly likely that Suzuka will hold th Pacific GP after the Australian round, but nothing official has been said about it.

Well seen as they've/'re cutting GPs from Germany and Italy that both host two wouldn't that be abit hypocritical?

I think in order for F1 to grow it has to be prepared to cut some circuits and try some new markets, or even just newer areas in existing countries.

I've heard there's no San Marino or Nurburgring next year, so it could be Hockenheim. And Spa is back. That's a great circuit. I'm looking forward to that race.
And I'm looking forward to seeing Fuji next year. I'm still surprised that Interlagos is in the list. I guess it's the only circuit in South America suitable for F1.

Eh, whichever, it was for a naff sporting event lol.

@ BMW318ciC - Just means less time for certain germans and spanairds to have it wrapped up by the 3/4 season mark and make the remaining 1/4 of a season practically pointless.

Seasons like this, and the Schumacher/Raikkonen one, where title races go down to the wire, or thereabouts, are what this sport should be year in year out...that's just me
