XBOX SUCKS!
If I chose to grind more than 10M cr. for any Ferrari F1 (or 4M for a used F1 in some cases) and use that in a struggle to win the Indianapolis event in Like The Wind, is it possible?! I'm already at LV 23 with 3M and counting.

Ferrari F1's can't be used in A-Spec mode.

Indy like the wind can be won with a less than 1M car. The Corvette ZR1 converted to a race Car (Race modification via GT Auto) then Max out the power and get grippier tires.

I would like to see how much a ZR1 + RM + Tuning parts costs and compare lap times with a NASCAR on soft slics with a decent tune.

Around 40~41 seconds I remember. Is more cost effective to buy a Nascar I guess.

EDIT: Just did the event in the Vette. 42.188 without sliptream was the best I could pull off.

nascar is too slow, i think my best was 5th, i pounded it for a week in the nascar and rebuilt the engine a couple of times,
bought the zonda r and did it first time on soft tyres

Just use the X1. You can take the corners at 295mph no problem.

i just did the indy endo with the toyota mino thingy and ran average 40's with no slip and best was 39.189 but i had full downforse to keep it on the track towards the end of the tyre life before pits

danm, i was cornering at 220 in the t.m, cant wait to get a formula car

btw if you are grinding for xp + cr isn't it better to do the dream car champ, 1.1 million after all is done
the endos don't really pay much for what they are

The Vette is more cost effective as it handles much better, so it can be used more easily in other, non oval events.

I used a Zonda for this event because I had money to burn......... but if I were you I would save up another 1.6mil and buy the formula GT at level 24

I went to the Online Dealership and found a "Formula Gran Turismo" worth 4.92 million cr. and was able to use this to dominate Indianapolis in Like The Wind. This F1 racecar was able to enter the A-Spec and B-Spec events, but I do not know if there were any other F1's that can do the same.

Question is answered.

X2, i was going to mention that but i missed it the first time around and wasn't sure it could be used in ltw

i just saw it again and i'm 1 mill shy so i have to wait again for it
does anyone know the cycle time for the fgt?

I almost forgot. Most A-Spec and B-Spec events still have its limitations, and for that, F1's cannot enter. Any racing karts cannot enter an A or B spec event which I thought was ridiculous. But just for Like The Wind, yeah, an F1 racecar should enter.

The Formula GT isn't a Formula One car. Yes, it's an open-wheel car that's like a Formula One car, but it still is not a Formula One car much like how Indy cars aren't Formula One cars.

This is not a Formula One car.

This also is not a Formula One car.

This isn't a Formula One car, either.

I see now. And those cars you showed would look good on GT6! Anyhow, I'll do some research!

You can't use the Ferrari F1 cars in anything in A-Spec or B-Spec?

Whats the point in them being in the game then?

It was even similar to that in GT5P I suppose. After I did get a Ferrari F1, it would not let me enter the C, B, A, or S classes. More horse manure!

woah good to know. I almost plunked down the 10 mil for the Ferrari F1 to use it in the FGT challenge in both A and B spec. Sucks that the cornier fgt's are standard cars. O man. The deeper and deeper I get in GT5 the more disappointed with it I am. So much fail along with the win.

I agree. I used my FGT in a race and it didnt look right. Took my F2007 out for a spin and all was clear. The FGT is like a F3 car but I thinks thats whats missing from GT5, a good selection of single seaters. 👍
