Looks like I'll get at least some sort of weight penalty next round, for sure. Then things will get really interesting. Anyone under the 14'45 mark?

Edit: Stupid AI. Had a fastest race lap of 1'04.3, then collided with the AI in Turn 1. :(

Edit 2: Shaved 1.8 seconds in the race.

Edit 3: Shaved .04x in qualifying.

Damn....almost there, my first attempt was a few seconds above that, but its my goal this week tho 👍

if 1.05.2** is not your best with 2 sec room improvement,i think i'm really being left behind....

I just got a couple 1:04.6xx's and I'm averaging about 1:05.xxx now. I'm just going to keep plugging away until I get it down and consistent. I'm really having trouble between t1 and t2 though. The rear of the car keeps comming around going up the hill and at the bottom of the hill, for some reason it seems like the car just stops turning right at the apex. :ouch: But, I'm actually thinking I might have a chance in hell at actually not being dead last for once so I'm just going to push it until I'm ready to snap.

Wow, keep up the good driving there GeoQuin4:tup:

There some good splits showing up now. My best race lap time so far is only
1'05.4. Guess I better get at it.

jump_ace... I've tried everything I got on qualifing and just not happy with it. But thanks for the tips.

Thanks RMK but I think I've peaked at my 1:04.6xx. I have to go to my record and see exactly what it is. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get 13 consistent laps. But the only reason I'm so close to you guys is every one but me is wieghed down. Is everyone pitting or no?

Just got through with my first attempt at the race. Plenty room for improvement, had a few moments with the AI on lap 1 and also had a very scruffy out lap after my pit. Fastest lap was a 1'04.9xx, im gonna have another try now :)

How does your tires wear? My right rear wears out way faster than the other three. It really sucks because I'm getting very little optimum tire racing. The tire is red about the time the others just start to turn yellow.

Same same dude, really sux, dunno which turn causes it my guess would be the double rights after going from 200 and some change to like what 70 in about...30 yards? lol...yikes!

Same goes for myself, but as I'm pitting on lap 7 (orange tire) it isn't too terrible. The car only gets twitchy for half of that lap or so depending on how much you beat up on that passenger rear for the other laps. If you're running fast enough, you'll also be making up a little time on this lap by drafting a few cars out of the final corner and onto the main straight as you dive off into the pits.

Give the car hell on your out-lap; work some temperature into the tires and you'll be back in the optimal range for the remainder of the race. :)

Alright guys, this has finally bitten me too hard. My fastest lap time is 1:04.686, and I just can't put a clean race together. I'm aggrivated and tired, I've done it in GT mode and have easily hit 1:02's and I can consistently run 1:04's for extended laps. I'm done, I just can't see putting so much time into this and still getting nothing out of it. If it were fun for me, I'd keep going, I don't mind being behind seeing as I know you all are faster than me. But even when I'm doing well by my standards, I'm still getting pissed off enough to slam my controller and yell profanities while my wife and dog look at me like I'm a pshyco. So, I out. Sorry guys, hopefully I'll see you in a GT mode series some day. But I'm not entering any more Arcade mode series again. Good luck guys. And make sure you're having fun.

Sorry Omelettes, I don't mean to leave you hanging. I'm on enough meds as it is to keep me calm and help my anxiety so this just isn't doing me any good.

Sorry to see you go, GeoQuin. The Arcade stuff isn't my usual cup of tea either, especially with tire wear. I'm a Friday driver, through and through.

Went ahead and submittted my times and just hope the race is fast enough. When everything went my way on the first few laps (1'07, 1'04, 1'04, etc.), I'd always end up with a huge off on one of the others for whatever reason, so left a lot of time out there. :|

Anyhow, here's a demo of my qualy run. It's a little early I suppose, but I've peaked and can see no more than a few hundredths here and there. Perhaps someone else can put this to good use before deadline.

Cheers,
-S

Ya thx for waiting guys, I meant to write it down and submit today at work but....racefan is nice enuf to extend it until I get home (6pm pst)

 sounds like you had one of "those" weeks!
At least I made it P2 in the qualifier - probably because I'm still only on +1 weight!
Don't think I could've dropped more than a few seconds off my time, even if I had another week to race. I find it hard to go balls out in the race for fear of going off and having to restart for the millionth time...
