Engines range from 134bhp for the 316i to 302bhp for the 335i. Diesels start at 116bhp in the 316d to 181bhp for the 320d, and larger engined models should be on their way. Also rumored are 4WD models, long wheel-base models for China and a hybrid version.

The green shot is a photoshop based off the camo or is it the current model? Asking cause the B pillar is the same but the lines of the camo are different than the green car.

Is it me or does BMW bold the title of "#1 manufacturer that updates their cars the most"? Seems like every time I turn around there's a new or refreshed BMW something coming out...

The top pic is the F30 3-Series (the one coming soon) and the one on the bottom is a current 3-Series.

This thread actually can get along with this one though...

I've also posted some previous informations that isn't mentioned here.

It looks even fatter than the previous one. I'm pretty sure that next M3 will be 1700kg+.. dry.

Each new BMW typically has a life cycle of 6 to 7 model years. Sometimes less if the model is derived from another platform; the Z3 and Z4 are a good example of this. Some model soldiers on for 8 years, like the E46. The E31 was probably the longest running modern BMW at 10 model years.

Each model receives a mid-life refresh somewhere around 3 to 4 years into its life. The industry calls it a "facelift"; BMW calls this an LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) which probably makes more sense in German.

So yeah, BMW is always either face-lifting and/or introducing a brand new car every year. Usually more than one.

The latest rendering so far, and could be the closest..

The official debut will take place in November with sales beginning in Spring 2012.

The salloon looks a lot like the current 3 series coupe, which is a good thing, I think. That render actually looks suprisingly good, at least if you keep im my mind how FUBAR the new 1 series is.
It'll take quite a bit before it'll be shown, but I wanna see the F30 M3...

It's very hard to tell. The front and rear overhangs on the F30 look a lot shorter than before so this could be tricking your eye a little (plus all the camo, of course).

Might find it's actually smaller than the current one in overall length, just with a slightly longer wheelbase and I expect a larger cabin.

There's every chance it'll be lighter too since BMW are downsizing their engines.

Have to say that render above actually looks pretty damn good IMO.

Actually as what I posted some time ago in the other thread regarding the F30, it is estimated around 1.5'' to 2.0'' increase in length and slightly increased in height over the E90 while probably maintaining the width. If things goes on this way, that would means the F30 will still be slightly smaller in size than the current B8 Audi A4...

Talking about weight, I think it should be about the current weight or slightly increased with smaller engines and more lightweight parts to be used in the car.

I thought i was the only one to see that, but you are right eSZee.
The rear looks a lot like the current C-Class...

Short of having flying cars and being too wild, car designers (other than the chinese) have it tough nowadays, to be creative and avoid copying current and past models.

It's bound that we see tidbits here and there across the car industry...

Especially as the rules tighten around things like pedestrian safety etc... they window for creativity is closing! :)

More renderings are coming in.

This one is from the Print Magazine.

Well from BMW, we could expect almost everything from the recent renderings...

But sure confirmed stuff would be:
  • A double shoulder line that starts above the front wheel arch and extends to the rear like the F10
  • Low sitting nose also just like the recent F10
  • L-Shaped tail lights
  • Squared look a like corona rings
  • Signal indicators on the side mirrors

So the interior shots have finally made its way into the world of internet...

So overall, quite obvious the dashboard is now more driver oriented. With more elegant design, this should be much better than its predecessor. Pretty much, the design is a cross between the F20 and the F10 I'd say.

It's kept the good bits of the previous 3er, and added some new good bits in. I approve 👍

In white with some BMW Motorsport wheels it'll look great.
