I have noticed a problem with this event, i tune my F430 to 650pp and do quite well, if at the end of the race i go straight back into the race i find my car is totally different? i finish that race badly, when i check in the tune i find my car as dropped to 637pp? this happens every time at this event so i now have to re tune the car before every event at Fuji, anyone else notice this problem?
The event in question is the Ferrari only Fuji race at expert level.

I cant say I've ever had this problem but have you tried setting up the car and then coming out and saving your game? This should save all your settings as well.

This was happening to me in the Suzuka Ferrari race but only if I leave the event first, when I return the weight was back to default which was over the 650PP limit.

Yes happens to me also in California at Fuji, weight goes to 100% making car sluggish & dropping pp to 630ish also noticed it at Daytona last night in Z06.

I have tried that mate but it still happens.

Thats my problem but the weight increases taking me to 637pp.

This bug was also seen in the Ferrari event at Suzuka last cycle. Regardless of whether you save the game or not, the tune you currently have active will have it's weight reset to 100%.

About the only workaround is to change the active tune to "c" (or some unused slot) before saving. Only the currently active slot will have it's weight reset.

Thanks mate :) this as fixed the problem.

Yo stevo i think we just had a race online. I am a menber on this forum but i don't have the GT5 net tag in front of my name on PSN. My F430 can set a 1.44.800 on Fuji 650 PP, i don't know if that's a top 10 time but if you guys want the tune to try it let me know. PSN ID is: Aizen93nasty. I am racing on Fuji at the moment so drop in.

Yes mate we just came together at Fuji, i l was in front nearly all race and then you blew past me, that F430 of yours looked to be handling great, i will try your tune and see if it improves my time, BTW great racing and you were totally fair with it 👍

Thanx m8, i always race fair. There's no point in winning a race by driving others off the track. This tune is a bit low on top speed on the straight but it makes up for it in the technical section of the track. You don't have to brake on the large sweeping right corner, but take it gently or you can loose control on the rear.

Hay man have did you had a go in the tune yet? If i can get some test driver's ill be more than happy. When the game first released there was a time trial 750 PP on fuji. I was in the top 3 with the GT-R 07, 1st place was just .100 quicker.

Ive played Forza 2 alot the past year and half and got good on tuning. Ill prefer GT5 to forza and ill be playing this alot. Test drivers are welcome to add me to their friends list. RPM-crx and Stevo are already on my list.

I didn't know there was a slowdow, catch up thing on this game. In free run the car runs 1.44.800 quite easy, i reckon i can even get a 1.43 with more fine tuning.

I will give it a try later this afternoon mate and report the results to you 👍

Used to get it a Suzuka, not at Fuji though.

On a different note Fuji is getting really bad for people cutting the chicane at the end of the back straight, it's such a blatant shortcut, surprised there is no penalty for this.

Use this tune guys. It's the fastest so far with a total race time of 8.53.877 on Fuji (5 laps) I was racing with Stevo earlier so he can tell you this car is FAST. You can keep up with the fastes cali's depending on your driving style. I use manual gears, all aid turned off and cockpit view.

Why do so many people on this board write that they drive with all aids turned off although they have ABS at 1. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't ABS a driving aid?

Aizen93, at least you mentioned in your post that you have ABS=1, but there are others that claim to drive without any aids, only to find in a different post that they have ABS=1.

Shouldn't no driving aids mean that you have ABS=0 as well?

Can we all agree that we will not use the term "without driving aids" unless we have ABS = 0, or at least like Aizen mention in that same post that ABS=1?

Thanks!

This is really taking the enjoyment out of this event, the number of times i have entered this corner first but come out 4th or lower is well it is all the time :grumpy:

Yes I agree I had a few good races in a row a couple of nights ago with pretty much the same racers and then a few extra joined and were continually doing this.
The first time it happened to me I thought the guy just out braked himself but every time after I saw him do the same thing.:grumpy:
I actually find it amazing that you don't recieve a penalty for it...

I like to catch up with some of these cheaters and take the inside line at that corner, when they brake early to cut the corner my car is in the way and off the track they go :) i dont feel guilty about this as they are cheaters.

Mmm I might try that one myself.
Normally i don't react badly to other drivers even if i've been deliberatly punted, but after the other night i might just think about it.
What annoyed me the most is that i was having some really close and fair races and then some new guys come along and blatantly cheat. :grumpy:
To be honest i couldn't care less if i win or not (after a while like all GT games credits isn't an issue) just this night for what ever reason it really annoyed me..
