F430 Challenge's brother revealed

These are probably the 1st shots of this car, but there is no info from him right now.

Whats that little funnel-shaped scoopy thingdoodle in the hood for? Cooling presumably. Cooling what? And why shape it like that?

I think I've seen that on GT-Rs too.
 
On this, it could be for the driver...

I know some rear- or mid-engined cars have frount mounted radiators, hence the need for cooling at the front in those cases. I don't think that's the case with this car though.

On a Skyline it would be for cooling the engine/turbo etc

From my memory it's a NACA vent. I think that only describes the shape not what it functions for.

Angel, as fun as it would be if it beat the Enzo, I'm more concerned with it slapping the tar out of Porsches the world over.

After all, the only good Porsche is a Porsche in the garage.

Unless it's air-cooled.
 
The back end looks a little 'chubby' to me.

Note to ricers - check out the size of the exhausts that Ferrari deem necessary for a 4.3ltr V8 race car.
-does your 1.1ltr Corsa really need exhausts 3 times the size?

I dont think thats an Enzo I think its the FXX.

Its an Enzo.
Look at the back of the hood. There's no spoiler or anything else that appears to be on the FFX.

EDIT: Wait, I think you're right.

Look at the Enzo/FFX in the 1st pic at the front.
The FFX has an aerodynamic design dead in front of the wheel. The one in the 1st pic doesn't. BUT. it also doesn't seem to have the signals the Enzo does. But I think you're correct that it is a FFX. Look at the back in the FFX pic. It has a solid red all around the intake. The Enzo has a red and Black bottom.

So yeah...its an FFX.
 
FXX doesn't have side mirrors, and neither does the car in the pic. I think that's a pretty dead giveaway.

but now I'm wondering why that 430 only has 1 side mirror in some pics, and 2 in others...
 
So, anyone got any numbers on the Weight Reduction/Power Increase/Trick Gadgets/Price details?

The CS made the 360 look rather tame, the F430 makes a CS look too rough for not enough go, so what will a F430 CS be like?
