I am surprised there isn't a thread for this game. I have personally never played it but most say it is the best of the series. Anyone in here play it yet? I am thinking of either renting or buying it. I truly loved Fable 2. Fable 3 was a lot of steps backward IMO but at least it had a proper full online co-op.

The original Fable is the only one I really enjoyed but it is way, way too short and I have too many games to justify the purchase right now. @CAMAROBOY69 if you haven't played it though this is most definitely the best way to experience the game. I'd recommend you rent it due to the length though.

Oh I had no idea it was short. Thanks for the heads up. I will consider renting it in the near future. Or maybe Gamestop will have it used, then I can return it within 7 days via their return policy, if they still have that used game policy.
 
I rented this over the weekend and had quite a few problems with freezing, clipping, and several other issues. The auto lock while in battle can also be quite frustrating. Trying to kill an enemy and it autolocks onto a friendly and you get evil points. I decided to return the rental. I can see where this game probably was truly amazing when it originally came out on the xbox. But it just has too many problems for me to deal with. Fable 2 still remains my top favorite Fable game.
 
I played it on the PC years ago... good concept, nice graphics (then) and good voice acting, but so INCREDIBLY LINEAR.

I couldn't stand that. Not in an RPG.
