after a long wait, Fable in the flesh is out. . .I picked it up last wednesday. . .

The game itself looks beautiful the concept is cool, Fable has one flaw, It is so freakin short I've played it for like 12 hours and i'm like almost complete. . .I would've been able to beat it in like 8 hours, but i'm running around doing the side quests and stuff, which are good cuz they add some time and stuff. . .I wish the actual main story was longer. . .The game is tite tho, i strongly recommend it!!!

I got it too and already beat it. I did all of the side quests available through the guild, and a few outside distractions such as smaller quests, most Demon doors a few wives and whatnot. I only clocked in at about 17 hours total, but it's a great 17 hours.
The world is definitely large enough to support more quests, so I really feel cheated in that respect. Thet should have put a slew of generic ones in there just to keep you busy if you wanted to be.

In the professional reviews they all mentiong how shor the game is but the replay value was very high. Do you feel like you wanna play through again? I just rented it but have yet to play. 17 is not long for an rpg in developement so long.

lucky for me, i take awhile to finish games just cause i don't have that much time to play games. But yes, fable is awesome, i'm still pretty much in the begining but it's fun as hell.

I rented it and played it through twice. First time I was as evil as possible using a bow, second time i was as good as i could be using melee. First time I beat it I didnt watch the credits so I didnt get to keep playing and I didnt wanna start from my last save. It was pretty short bu a great game none the less. I'll buy it when the price drops. Cant wait for Fable 2.

I wasn't sure if I would, but I just started a second game. I'm playing through as an evil character this time (which seems odd and out of place to me.) and am enjoying it from a different perspective. People boo me as I walk through streets, and sometimes just run away.
My first character had blond hair (good guy) and this one has black hair but is starting to go bald. (really odd with my mohawk.) I think it's random if that happens and using magic speeds it along.
I wouldn't bet on Fable 2 seeing as this wasn't a stunning success and the 4+ year development cycle, but Peter Molyneaux(sp?) has hinted at Fable 1.5 with all the things that he could get in under the wire (there is a whole section just locked off with an alleged dragon) He said he thinks it could be available through Live or an expansion disc, or even through a PC version. (which looks doubtful)
And lastly, it's not bad Loudmusic, it's just not what it should have been at all. It's probably the best RPG per pound you'll play this year, it's just that it doesn't exactly weigh in as a heavyweight. I'd suggest waiting for a 29.99 price tag, as that is really where this game becomes a bargain.

I was never a fan of any RPG games either, I knew 3 or 4 kids who were addicted to city of hero's and always talked about their, "FRIKEN AWSOME NEW COSTUMES"

I think Fable was a disappointment, all the hype and anticipation, and it was indeed short. I did all those quests for the Main Quest, and I never got to use all the money I earned. And it said every game would be different, yet you still would have to do the same boring quests. Sad.

If you're thinking about wasting 50 dollars on this game, don't. Just rent it.

I've rented it Sunday but havent touched it yet (Damn you R-type final) and I bought Gradius v that same day but was not blown away by the first level so i went back to R-Type to mess around with ships I never used.

back to the topic: fable is good. Not great. But good.

I like PA, but they're assholes a lot of the time.

Remember when Xbox first came out? They ripped it apart in their editorials and comics, now they play tons of xbox live games and are always talking about them, Gabe even makes a Rainbow Six 3 comic.

They also said Halo blew when it came out, now suddenly they're plugging Halo 2 at PAX. Hmmm...

They can behave like petty fanboys because it's their site, and they're damn funny anyhow.

I really enjoy the game, and I'm being good overall; about the only evil points I get are from stealing from peoples houses. Not at all what I was hoping for when I started following this game years ago; anyone remember when they called it Project Ego? I do...

Morrowind is still better in my opinion, and there working on a new one to come out in 2005!

I rented it and I must say its pretty good. Worth a rent, not sure on a buy though. I've played for about 10 hours and I think I'm almost to complelting it. But then again I can beat a game really fast since I don't watch cut scenes or anything like that.

I just finished the game. Took me a little over 15 hours to complete. I was good guy and had a legendary status.

At the end of the game, did you cast to the sword or keep it? I kept it.
