From the website:

Courage. Integrity. Valor.

"Faith of My Fathers" is the true story of one man’s honor in the face of adversity. From his rookie years at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, we watch John McCain's journey from brash Pensacola pilot to courageous Vietnam POW. There, caught in a political power play, the young McCain is forced to choose between the country he loves and his own survival. Through gripping flashbacks, we see how each experience and the enduring strength of his family legacy shapes the man--and the public servant--he would become.

So, is anyone going to watch it? It premieres on the 30th, Memorial Day. Although, I didn't read the book (not much of a reader), it looks very interesting.

I just programed the DirecTV reciever for May 30th, 2005 at 5:00PM PCT for three hours. I'm not sure how long the show is; It never said. But, I figured three hours was enough.

Where is my candy?!

I thought it was a very good movie. IMO, it should have been longer, with more character development. The movie showed how brutal the North Vietnamese were, on par with the Third Reich and Hitler himself.

What was with those two sell-outs sitting around drinking Coke in their lawn chairs? I never heard about them before, the movie never explained in much detail.

I agree I liked it, but not loved it. It had too many holes that needed filling. This should have been a miniseries, not a two hour movie. To be honest, I thought it was going to be four hours, two two hour movies. But, for being short with gaps that should have been filled, it was very good, and a great movie to watch on Memorial day with my two boys. They never knew what Vietnam was, or what happened to US soldiers when captured. Now they know.
