A film I thought would be about "Floccinaucinihilifilipication", but turned out to be about something else instead.
Guy Pearce (Mike from Neighbours - "Down Bouncer!" - or the bloke from Memento, The Count of Monte Cristo and LA Confidential) is one of three cons who get let out of prison and do a knock-off of a security van - with no casualties, their trademark.
From that point on it gets a little strange. There's double-crosses, some people who are apparently policemen, an impenetrable Australian drawl, an even more impenetrable Australian slang drawl and Rachel Griffiths drawing smiley faces using her own vaginal secretions (yes, really).
Truth be told, it's not that bad a film. The anti-heroes are sort of nice, although there's a whole incestuous mother-son thing going on with one of them which is really rather disturbingly odd. Guy Pearce's character is clearly smart and scheming, but dumb enough to let everyone fool him, which doesn't pan too well. The plot is too... obviously progressional. There's also a character called "Tarzan" who does one thing very well, but is SO poorly thought out as to be laughable (you'll know what I mean - he's a professional crim, but he's crap at it, no-one's yet noticed he reads everything backwards, and he has absolutely no patience at all).
And it turns out the two most common words in use in Australia are **** and c***. Nice.
There's worse films, but don't bother.
