I'm sure we all know the drill by now... PM me your answers to the following questions, then got mocked mercilessly...

1. (Natural History) - A dubious and rather unique honour is held by a cat named Tibbles. What did he do to gain notoriety?
2. (TV) - Phillip Fry, Amy Wong, Hermes Conrad, Hubert Farnsworth, Turanga Leela, John Zoidberg and Bender Rodriguez are the major characters in which Fox TV series?
3. (Sport) - Name the eight teams (1 point per pair) who have qualified for the FIFA World Cup Finals (Germany 2006) for the first time.
4. (Chemistry) - After what is the element Copper named?
5. (Science) - Of what is Urbain Le Verrier (primarily) credited with the discovery?
6. (Music/TV) - Shaun Ryder - singer-songwriter and member of the Happy Mondays and Black Grape, and voice actor for "Maccer" in GTA: San Andreas - is the only known individual to be named in a television channel charter - that of UK's Channel 4. Why is he named?
7. (Sport) - Who are the current holders of NHL's Stanley Cup?
8. (Geography) - Of which island state is Antananarivo the capital?
9. (Film) - Who played the roles of Richter, Rick Heatherly (better known as "Jester") and General Katana in some late-80s/early-90s action films?
10. (Medicine) - For what disease is Yersinia pestis the agent responsible?

G-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-go!

Edit: Note - there is an error (through oversight) in question 3. There are in fact EIGHT teams who haven't previously qualified for World Cup Finals.

I took a stab at the football one, I know two or three that I put down are right, it was hard this week. Took a guess at the copper one, it just seemed the right answer and the last question I hope I got right, Charlotte should know anyway. maybe 8-10pts depending on a couple of guesses.

Oh and question 2 is easy.

Real quick.. Famine how did i get 5 points?

I only answered 4 questions... Did i get 2 points for the Hockey answer?

Or do you get multiple points per answer?

Im such a noob.

2 points for a correct answer, 1 point for a close answer.

You can get bonus points in some questions, but that's at Famine's discretion...

In this instance he got 3 correct answers, but a point taken off for a word which made his answer inaccurate (and very funny). And it wasn't the "hockey" (ice hockey) one.

When I post the answers I'll update the leaderboard with the reason.

Ah crap, i see what word i spelled wrong.

What a douche.

EDIT: If you wouldda told me spelling counts i wouldda made sure it was correct.. i just got it close so you could understand ;)

Spelling doesn't matter.

It was the inclusion of a word which made your answer inaccurate.

Nick_Johnston28
What the hell does inclusion mean?

The addition of an extra factor.

Your answer (to #4) had a word in it which turned a correct answer into an inaccurate one.

 You'll have to post that answer up once Famine posts the correct answers .

BlazinXtreme
Haha a brillent wrong answer .

There's no way I couldn't credit that. It's entirely plausible and very lateral thinking. It's still wrong, but deserves recognition.

Yeah, and i'm not drunk yet. The serious drinking will start on Christmas eve :)
