I'm likely going to start saving up for some SiMagic equipment in the fall. I just don't know whats going to happen and I don't want to be left holding the bag if something breaks. I've been waiting for Fanatec to release some hydraulic brakes, but at this point, I'm done waiting. My Sigma adapter for using SiMagic equipment on PS5 arrived the other day, so I've already dipped my toes in  It was a fun 10 years of supporting Fanatec.

Keep us posted how using an adapter works. I’m not opposed to jumping ship as my Fanatec stuff starts kicking the bucket.

FWIW…I finally got my replacement (purchased by me) v3 loadcell from Fanatec today. Took almost 5 weeks front to back - from when I first reached out to them

We wish to emphasise that entering the StaRUG process was our last resort to avoid bankruptcy, after all other options were rejected by the lending banks.
There were multiple offers from a group around Jackermeier and one independent (and credible) investment group, they were all rejected (Source in german: https://www.presseportal.de/pm/174745/5792901, the site belongs to dpa).
Looks to me like Endor is not interested in saving the companies...

I’ve just started my transition to Simagic after my CSL Loadcell brake pedal bricked itself following the most recent firmware update. I have a set of P1000 pedals on the way, then once I’ve saved up a bit more, I’ll grab myself an Alpha Mini wheelbase and GT Neo. I more than was willing to stick with Fanatec until that happened.

Ugh.
Its been quacking like a duck for over a year now. And by duck, i mean, nasty destructive dudebro infection.

And while i can appreciate the story being bent from his angle much of it smells about right from my experiences.

Unsurprisingly, i have a deep burning hatred for the effects PE’s have had on actual business. Buncha worthless vampires..

The info regarding Corsair’s previous interest in acquiring Fanatec is most interesting here. As a long time generally satisified user, I give TJ a lot of respect for vision but clearly some of the mgmt issues are on him - trust or lack of focus issues or whatever. But clearly seems to me some shady maneuvers going on beyond just financial stabilization. I hope he prevails in this Game of Sim-Thrones drama

They’re all making it very difficult for me to stick with Fanatec for the long term. If something happens to my CSL DD while this is going on, then I may just go with a different brand. Repairs and shipping will be in the hundreds of dollars range anyway.

Hmm, sadly there is no "open source" hardware that will be compatible with consoles. All the "good" stuff is proprietary technology/ip...

The anger stage of grief?
I can certainly understand why he's upset. But blaming others for the failure of his own company (which in my view has been run for years as if it were a couple of dudes in a garage) and inventing far-out conspiracy theories (he seemingly believes that Fanatec was 'infiltrated' by 'saboteurs' working for Corsair) is a bit too much.

Hey guys, these days I updated myself on the situation, which I was behind by more than a month, before I updated myself on Reddit, but the guy who wrote stopped posting updates and I thought there weren't any.

From what I understand it is now certain that Corsair will be the next owner of the company, if not, I don't understand why pay to pass all the patents by name, moreover I don't understand how and who could block Corsair. The only one who perhaps really intends to block the acquisition is Thomas, but I don't know if the matter should go through a court or similar.
As for Thomas, I have always respected him because it was he who made DDs accessible to everyone and united the world of simracing with real racing cars. But it's quite pathetic that he doesn't take the blame, even if he isn't directly responsible, the company was still under his leadership. So I don't know whether to feel sorry for his departure from Fanatec, also because, as cool as it is, the approach to the world of real racing probably took away resources for simracing projects, and this led to never seeing the pedals Podium, which would probably have been hydraulic, a complete update of the steering wheel range, steering wheels with display, gearbox and handbrake update, etc.

In the end, I don't care if it goes to Corsair or Thomas makes Xiaomi buy it, I hope not, what matters to me is that whoever owns this company will be able to fix all the problems and bring new hardware, which is what consumers are asking for for years. Also because the DD+ is a marvel, for many, second only to SimuCube, and it's a shame that the rest of the products aren't up to par.

Thomas Jackermeier needs to stop posting. His ramblings only damage Fanatecs reputation (or what is left of it) even more.

I was wondering what caused the share price to rally a little, let's hope the outcome is a good one for Tobias. I think they screwed up running the company and someone tries to take advantage. Lots of lessons to learn, I think they need to slim down the product line, concentrate on the customers and put some money into software fixes and improvements. I love my Fanatec purchases, fingers crossed they are not taken over and can resolve the many issues.

I'm fed up with using my P1 V2 so I ordered the Formula V2.5 steering wheel last night, I can already tell the logistics side of things has improved a lot since they moved out of California to Texas. It was shipped out today and it should be here next week. My last two orders took a lot longer.

When did they move to Texas?
